I'm drinking one too!! I've always been a Pepsi drinker! When I moved in with Clay, he drank Coke...but I converted him. So we are a PEPSI ONLY family now! ;D
Coke sucks....hehehe.

The new ones are fun, but they are WAY too distracting if they're used all the time!
It'd be much better if there was a way of having the non-animated ones as well - then I'd save these ones for special occasions.
As it is, I'm just looking at my screen and going WTF...

Nope, I'm sorry, CANNOT cope with these. My entire screen is dancing up and down. Special things like my happy birthday thread just don't look so special when every damn smilie is animated to within an inch of its life.
Plus I can't even tell what some of them are supposed to represent! Mousing over them doesn't tell me any more, and I'm buggered if I can figure some of them out.
Have the normal ones, and if you can't have these at the same time then put the link to them on one of the 'How To' threads we have.

Way too many smiling "smilies"! There's plenty of options for happy emotions, but not for the ones I often feel. Apart from a shrugger and one angry cussing red thing...
Smilies are supposed to help convey emotions, which isn't always easy to do with words. The dragon doesn't help me convey any emotion. It's just a "ha ha look at that" PICTURE.
And why the hell would I want a smilie specifically for saying I'm thirsty?!
Bring back USEFUL pictures please!

Not funny.
One of the reasons I joined this forum is because unlike a certain OTHER forum, it was not full of so much clutter that it slowed down loading and made it difficult to read.
Don't get me wrong - I like it when people post pictures to have a look at. I like it when you or bluegirl or anyone puts a new picture in their signature and says "what do you think?". I like it when you post new avatars or new photos or anything like that.
But I don't like so MANY messages being affected by animation in such prominent positions. Go and have a read of some of the old threads/posts and see if they actually make any sense with the new smilies inserted. I know for my own posts there are plenty of winks and grins that make no sense now.

Okay fine then you got your way. Happy now? Your smiles are back to more appropriate emotions.
I personally love animation by the way and there isn't much. each smiley takes up maybe 3 frames which is just good enough for any server.
But whatever.....
