this will be the first benefit i will be hostessing. and i was wondering if anyone has ever done this, and if so, could you give me some 'do's & don'ts' pointers?
this is the information we have available right now:
date: august 22, 2003
where: still working on that
time: midnight
how much: between $25 & &40, we still have to figure that out
the theme: rocky horror picture show
we will be doing a midnight showing of the rockky horror picture show. people are going to be encouraged to dress up. we would like to be able to sell some merchandise (like buy some from a sorta fundraiser, and make some t-shirts that say 'crossdressing for a cause' with a picture of tori dressed as doctor frankenfurter on the front, and the rainn info on the back. if possible i would like to talk to paulina about the picture of tori, but we'll see. i still have a little while), and we're going to hand out information on rainn and stuff. we're also going to have the woman's study group from the college and my friends coven help.
anywho, give me some feedback about this.

I think it sounds awesome! Who doesn't love Rocky Horror Picture Show?! I really like the "Crossdressing for a cause idea!" I think the whole thing sounds great, and I'm so glad you're doing this fundraiser. You rock! I don't know, with things like this I kind of just have epiphanies if I don't think about them too much. If I get any ideas I'll get back to you.  |

Rocky Horror is so much fun. I really don't know what tips I could give you, since I've never done such an event. I do know that it sounds great, though!

Those shirts sound sweeeet. Depending on where you have the show, it may be a little uncomfortable, like theatres and airplanes are. You could sell little pillows like airplanes have and put something catchy on them, or pin pacifiers to them-there's a guaranteed good phrase for that somewhere too I just can't think of it. Just an idea, maybe it's a bad one though cuz I'm so tired. need sleepy where's MY pillow? nitey-nite  |

well, i can't draw, i can't make anything on the computer, i haven't ever done a fundraiser...
BUT I HAVE A HELL OF A LOT OF SPUNK, ENERGRY, AND DRIVE! and....I have off of work and school until August 26th, 2003!
so put me to work! heeheehee....i'll do anything! and I LOVE ROCKY HORROR!!!!!!!!!!
