Scarlet’s walk (silent all these years…)

Chapter 1: The cottage.
“C’mon on in.” said a voice that appeared to be friendly. The gentle fairy pushed the door open, hovering about the ground. “Oh hello!” the voice said. “H-ello…” stuttered the fairy, flying in to a chair next to the woman. The fairy sat down and took a good look at this woman. She appeared to have a permanent smile plastered to her face. Her red hair ran wild over her head touching her friendly face.
“Please don’t make to many movements until my dog has a chance to catch your sent.” Chuckled the woman taking a sip of her tea. The fairy nearly jumped out of her seat when the “dog” came over. As the dog took snorts of the fairy’s smell the fairy thought that he had to part wolf or bear or something rather large.
“And please be cautious of my kitchen, the antichrist has come for another unexpected visit…things are quite messy in their.” whispered the woman, so as not to disturb the “antichrist.”
“May I ask you name?” the fairy said smoothing out her pink shinny dress that dropped over her feet and to the floor after the “dog” had left her to her own being. She was a bit overwhelmed by all the occurrences in this small cottage.
“Oh! Dear me! I though you might be mute!” laughed the woman. The fairy retuned a small laughed so as not to be rude. “My name is Tori,” said the woman brushing the wild red strands of hair from her face. She put her hand out, letting her cup of tea go unattended. “Scarlet.” said fairy shaking Tori’s hand. “Now it’s my turn!” chuckled Tori. “May I ask why you paid me this wonderful visit?”
“Well I am afraid that my colony is in severe danger of being destroyed.” Scarlet said. She had almost forgotten he “mission” of sorts.
She took a look around the cottage that Tori lived in, while Tori pondered her answer. All the walls were rainbow in color and there was a red crock-pot that matched Tori’s hair to a T. From what Scarlet could see, she was a witch. Bottles and bottles of unpronounceable items were strewn among the rainbow walls amongst shelves and some pictures of other creatures that had needed her assistance. The cottage was awfully small with only one other room besides the kitchen and the room they were in now. Scarlet figured that it looked pretty comfortable for one person.
“Why is your colony in such grave danger?” Tori asked holding her cup of nearly devoured tea to her chest. “Well it’s hard to explain, see the members of our colony aren’t really sure what is going on. Some force is making things such as houses and people none existent.” Scarlet explained. “Can you be a little more detailed for me, Dear?” asked Tori taking a sip from her cup and squinting her eyes at Scarlet.
“Well it seems that when a person ‘disappears’ that anyone that has any significant memory of them, forgets about the person entirely. Like a mother for instance. Say she is here today and gone tomorrow…the next morning when she is gone her own son doesn’t even remember who he was. Same goes for buildings or belongings or pets even!” explained Scarlet. “We’re all very afraid that one day our whole colony, our whole world will be the same as that mother that I used as an example.”
Tori frowned. She had never heard of anything like this in all her requests.
