When I went to see Nirvava in 1994, I remember they had this opening band, local I think. They were actually pretty good but I remember the crowd just booing them off stage because they wanted Nirvana. They were screaming out "Get off the fuckin stage" and they lead singer looked like he was getting ready to cry. I thought that was pretty cold blooded

But then if you look at it from the other point of view, that person who yelled "silent all these years" probably felt really stupid and embarrased after that. Perhaps they were a new fan, and they heard people screaming requests (as they often do) in different songs and just thought, hey, why not? and did it.
Or maybe they were just drunken stupidheads. You never know.
