Making mixed Tori CD's is one of my biggest passions. I just love doing it. I always try to make it different every time, pulling out different songs each time. Making one is really an art, a science. You have to make sure that the songs mesh well, and that every song is getting along with each other. I always take making them very seriously, anyone else like that?
I was wondering what everyone's mixed CD's are like. So you can post the set lists to them on this thread! I have made soo many mixed tori cds - but i'm just going to post one. This one I just made recently. It's a 2CD set, called "A bliss of another kind." I'm very proud of it, if i do say so myself.

As you can see, the first cd is more slower and mellow, and with songs like "marianne" and "hey jupiter," i called it "absorb" because it is a collection of songs that you have to really sit down and digest, because they are deeply personal and have so much meaning. The second is the more up-beat stuff that you can really move to, and with songs like "she's your cocaine" and "raspberry swirl," it is entitled "release" because it's more of an energy-releasing collection than the first. That's not to say that the fast songs don't have huge meaning as well, but I mean I couldn't call the second one "absorb and release" that just wouldn't sound right, you know?
So what do you guys think? What are some of your mixed CDs? What do you guys think about b-sides and how many should you put on a mixed cd? I've learned over the years that it's better to only put a few b-sides, because that's more of a different set of songs that I think is much more fun to discover by yourself, once you've become a tori fan. People who haven't really heard her album stuff aren't really going to appreciate the b-sides as much as hard-core fans do. What about live stuff? I usually put those on my second cds I make for people, after they've gotten into the first one.
Has anyone been successful in getting people into tori through their mixed CDs? I have. I got my girlfriend into her by making mixed tapes a few years ago (before I got my cd burner) and now she is as big a fan as me. And I've gotten a few of my friends into her this year too, which is really exciting! ;D
