I say "AY-mus" but in a way that my mouth and brain both agree is an 'o' sound on the last syllable. LOL
Although, I went to school with a girl who's last name was the same and she was a stickler for having it pronounced "AY-mose".

I used to always say AY-mos (or really AY-moss, but I'd say the word "moss" with a shorter vowel sound than you would probably), but now that I've heard Tori herself say it (on that Sylvia Stout thing) I'm gradually changing to AY-mus.
This is hard to do in a way that the Americans understand what I'm saying - I mean, you spell a certain Middle East food "kabob", we spell it "kebab", and end up with much the same pronunciation!

9 times outta 10 I'll say ay-mos. My Mum says ay-mus when she mentions her though. So sometimes I say it that way too.. just depends how much of a rush I'm in? hehe..
It's all an accent thing anyway though I guess. I mean, that's why some people here say ay-mose... that's such an american thing..
EDIT: actually I just thought of another thing why I probably say ay-mos.. I knew a boy all through school and his name was Amos, pronounced like that.. So I guess you just sorta go with what ya know.

Ditto every single word and thought behind it!! I know exactly what you mean T! LOL...oh dear. My dad, with his funny refined Greek accent says, Ai-mus. If that helps! I went through the same phase with Madonna. I say 'Ma-DONNA, while she says 'MaDOnna.' If you know what I mean.....
