Jae! Sean just got that Breaking Benjamin cd a couple weeks ago!!!!! I know, because I gave it to him! LOL Ok, and you and I will get along great because I also claim "thinking" as a hobby. And I can appreciate your fondness for meteorology: I have the NWS and the NHC webpages saved in my favorites as well as the NASA "photo of the day" and a few other nerdy sites. And GOOD LORD, I don't think I want to know what "Do A Dear" means! PAHHHLEEEASE tell me Julie Andrews doesn't sing that!! ;D PS- I'll tell Sean to check out your comments and he'll 'chat' with you later... he likes the cd. I don't quite remember where the lightning shot came from (it's ME that does his photos, lol) but it was likely from one of the various photo-websites I frequent. I'm a photo-lover... the nature-type and natural-phenomena-type ones being among my favorites. Sean loves Metallica (the band; not like I have to clarify that for you but still...) and especially likes their song "Ride the Lightning". So yeah, the pic is sorta a tribute to that in a way. Cheers!

Sometimes I feel my brain is a 400-disc CD changer on shuffle...why? Because I always have a song in my head...at all times. I guess because I'm a musician? Could be. But weird random songs. Like right now, I have "Do a Deer" from The Sound of Music in my head...at the part where Julie Andrews is singing "When you know the notes to sing...".... .... .... HAHA..SO DO YOU NOW i bet . Lol, I can absolutely relate to that. Sometimes it's like the soundtrack to my life is playing in the background but a lot of times its just something completely random. Like yesterday at work when I couldn't get the Slinky jingle out of my head! Anyway, welcome Jae!! (and Haullie, lol!) Any friend (or husband) of Kier has got to be someone worthy of our lovebunch. A brief introduction: My name is Lauren (aka, Lau, Datura, Dat). I've been around here for ages, but I have an unfortunate tendency to disappear on occasion due to moving or work or whatever. I've got the same hair/eye combo (well, my hair isn't short and spiked, it's insanely long and curly, but the colors and the near-sightedness is true) and also graduated from a school in NY in 2002 (ok, 2002/2003... I had an extra semester to finish up my minors). I recently moved in with my boyfriend, Josh, in MA. We've been dating for about six and a half years. One day (when we're in the nursing home or something), we'll get married. Lol. I would try to get him on here, so we can add to the toriforum couples, but I can pretty much guarantee that it will never happen, so I'm not going to bother. Welcome to all the new members!

HAHA HAHA.....kier and i have just spent many-a-minute laughing at your reponse Mary ! "Do-a-Dear"?...yes, i got that from the porno version of The Sound of Music. No, I meant DOH-a-deer...but they way you read it, i can understand the confusion. (*insert small fact here*- That song is sung using DOE as a female deer, because that is what a female deer is called. And 'DO' (pronounced DOH) is the spelling in the solfege scale DO RE MI FA SOL LA TI DO) So no, Julie Andrews does NOT sing DO a DEAR, but 'Doe-a-deer'.

And I've seen The Sound Of Music more times than I can count on all my digits. LMAO, my dears, you do know that I was kidding, right?! LOL Just couldn't resist a chance to take a shot at the wide-open wise-crack that was left by your decision to leave off the 'e' from doe. And it might've been even funnier if I wasn't half asleep when I typed that... then I would've typed "Do a deer" like I'd meant to. LOL, ok, laughs all around from that. NEXT!

Dag-nab-it!

Hi everyone.. My english is terrible..But you know, music (specially Tori ^_~) is an universal language.. Welcome! Don't worry about the language -- there are a lot of non-English speakers here. We understand the feeling And I also think we had someone else from Turkey signing in here not too long ago! Yay for a very international Toriforum.

Hello fellow toriphiles,
I am a somewhat older member (I think). I used to be littlelash, but I've since lost the password and email address. It's nice to be back anyways. I was not much of a poster back then, but hopefully that will change. =) feel free to drop me a line, I need bugging every now and then!
Love to you all,

Just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Samantha and I'm a senior in high school. I've been a fan of Tori for almost 2 years now. Her music is incredible, but all of you already knew that =) I'm very interested in politics and history. I used to post in this forum here before, but I forgot my username, lol. I'm glad to be back =)

We recently deleted some usernames that had gone unused for many many months... perhaps your old username was one of them because I don't see any other accounts for your IP address. So, anyway, glad you came back. Do you have specific plans for after high school... college or otherwise? I can tell by your avatar words and signature words that you're into politics for sure! Enjoy the forum!

Thanks for welcoming me, its good to be back. Yes, I plan to attend a 4 year university after I graduate. I've already been accepted into college, University of North Carolina Greensboro. They had the earliest admission deadline in the nation, the deadline was June 15th, 2004, and I found in early August I was accepted. I plan to major in history and get a teacher license in that field. Thats the only job that hasn't been outsourced, lol, even though the job doesn't pay a lot, its one of the most fulfilling. I plan to be involved with politics anyway I can. When I found out I was eligible to vote this November, thats when I got inspired to campaign for Howard Dean. When he dropped out of the race, I campaigned for John Kerry when he became the presumed candidate for the Democratic Party. I don't think I'm the youngest person on here, I turn 18 on November 2nd(on election day, lol, how wonderful things work out, lol.) If anyone is younger, let me know, so I won't feel so much like a kid on here, lol. Or as they say here in the South, I won't feel so much like a youngin'.
