I saw Minority Report over the summer. It was good...BUT, there is a huge mistake made. It's in the plot line and just doesn't follow along with the whole being able to predict the future thing. Let me know if you catch it.  A.I. was good too...kind of depressing though. |

how ironic....my parents let us borrow this dvd when we went over for dinner last night. We are planning to watch it tonight so I'll tell you what i think! I can't wait to try to figure out what's wrong with the plot thing! LOL ;D

WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'M GONNA TALK ABOUT THIS MOVIE HERE & IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET & DON'T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT IT, DON'T READ THIS!!!!!!!!! ok, we watched this last night & it was pretty good. Entertaining, anyway. Lots of "unbelievable" stuff but all the same it made for some good eye candy (not just Tom but all the futuristic gizmos & gadgets in it  ). Soooooo, Lipglossaddict...... My darling hubby has one of those brains that can think like 12 very different complex thoughts at one time & I asked him to try to figure out the "flaw" that you mentioned. Well, he came up with all kinds of stuff....and I don't even know if I can remember them all, but some of the things he mentioned were valid. But then again, when we started talking about them, there were ways you could have reasoned or rationalized how they made sense. For example...... in the story, when the precogs see a murder that was a crime of passion there is only a 4 hour window of time for the precrime group to solve it, but if it's a PREMEDITATED murder, there is a 36 hour of time for them to solve it before it happens. So when case 1109 is "pre-cogged" it is listed as a Premeditated murder with Anderton being the murderer, but we didn't know how that could be since he didn't even know the guy that he was going to be murdering. HOWEVER!! If you think about it....just before he victim walks in the room & Anderton sees all the photos & is led to believe that this was the guy who took his son, Anderton says I've thought of nothing but 2 things for the last 6 years: what my son would look like & what I would do to the guy who took him. So, in a way, that's premeditative & once he knew who this victim was (or was supposed to be), Anderton did lay in wait, making it a Premeditation. So I guess you could look at it both ways. I should note here that my husband is an attorney, a PROSECUTOR, in fact & he had real issues with this movie! LOL I'm like "honey, it's Hollywood!" LOL ;D |

I LOVE MINORITY REPORT! best movie I have seen in a long time aside from Lord Of The Ring Two Towers.
The movie is a trip and a half but I won't talk about it and spoil it for you *wink* hehe. Just keep watching it. It's too good.
I OWN THE MOVIE A.I. I love it that much. I have seen it probably 80 times. I watch it a lot at night. It helps me sleep. It does! The music and the story is beautiful. I just think it's a great fall asleep to movie. I usually never fall asleep till the end but really, it's good!

Ok...that was not what I was talking about, but your husband makes a good point. The mistake I'm referring to is this: (I don't remember character names) Tom Cruises' wife, when she goes to break him out the jail thing, threatens to kill the guard, right? Well...if she really planned to kill him, the precogs should have known and she would have been busted long before she could even have threatened him. So...the guard should have known that she wouldn't really have killed him and called her bluff. Make sense? It's a HUGE flaw in my opinion...because it would totally change the movie if it had been done differently. |

Minority Report is EXCELLENT!! So what it has Tom Cruse in it? Just bought the DVD but too busy to start watching it. Sometime this weekend, I guess...
Good flaw pointing out. I think his wife didn't really intend on killing the retarded guard, just pretending and the precogs must disregard pretending.
