Ok...I have 2 cats...the younger one, Frangipani, does something really odd, but she is quite obssessive about it.
She LICKS photographs!
Anytime I have photos laying around, she will find them and lick them to oblivion. At first it was kind of funny/cute, but now it's annoying...I really have to watch that I don't leave any photographs sitting out where she can get to them. I feel like I have a toddler...not a cat.
Anyone else have/know of a cat that does this??

My cat Ludwig likes to chew and lick at the ends of exposed carpets (ones without finished trim edges). I have one extra piece that the carpeters left after they finished their work and I use that at the door to put shoes on. If not obstructed by the shoes, he chews on that. Same for a piece that is coming up near my bathroom entrance door. Catz are certainly weird but they are worth their weight in gold. Does anyone have a laser pointer that they use to play with their catz? I just got one and it is a riot to watch them chase the dot around the room. And you don't even have to move!! |

We used to have a lazer pointer for our kitties...but it's lost somewhere. They love it though. Frangipani will chase just about anything...when I put my make-up on, she'll come in the bathroom and follow the reflection from my mirror up and down the wall...it's cute! |

my two cats do this too, especially my male! Yeah its a real pain to scrapbook anything with him around. my mom posts at a poetry board and someone put up a very similar thread and about 15 people there said their cats do it too. the stinky part is I don't think they grow out of it!

Yeah... my cat does that, too, Mandy. Kinda pisses me off though, because most of the time he ends up ruining the picture.
But I love him to pieces... and I suppose there's always negatives.

wow and I thought MY cat was strange LOL! My cat just meows non stop LOL He's a machine. Thinks he's human. But licking photographs? Thats just a characteristic in itself there hahaha!
