It's a story I heard on the radio this weekend. An American cat -from Idaho, if I remember well- left his home to chase a mouse. The evil mouse entered a container that was going to Belgium! It landed in France and then went to Belgium. He was found and brought over to a vet, and thanks to the tattoo code, they found out who was the vet who tattooed him and the original vet found the owner. He was sent back to his owner. No need to say that both were really happy and grateful!
The airline company, of course, immediately jumped on the occasion to make the story public, since it's the main pet carrier on the market. So much free publicity is a boon!
