A couple of times in the last few months I've seriously thought about it though. I clearly like doing it and I have a LOT of opinions about music. There's probably not enough money in it for a career change though.  |

All I can say is, wow. I just finished reading every single review: your writing is remarkable. I too wonder if you've ever considered sending anything to any sort of magazine or such; you have talent! edit: it's a shame you promised yourself you'd never do something like this again, because I'd love to read something like this for Tori Album X in a year or two! but I can relate that commitments like this take a lot of of you, so for the sake of your health please don't force yourself!  |

Meh, orfeo - who says you have to forfeit your current career? I call it multi-tasking and it works ever so efficiently! well, providing your definition of efficient multi-tasking is closing your office door with a "in conference with the ACTU" sign propped against the oak finish and an literary agent on speedial... Your writing reminds me of one of my favourite music reviewers if that helps your ego any. Yep, I've just finished reading them all too and I think it's now safe to get Bob Dylan on the phone...or Lou Reed if you're feeling overly-confident... |

Well, you all inspired me. I hunted around a bit and came across this great little site called Consensus. I'm now a signed up member and writing (very short) reviews of independent music. I could see this becoming an obsession very quickly! Already I've found one great song that I'm playing over and over - but I'm not going to tell you which one yet because of the nifty way the site works. That review isn't published yet. Go and take a look, and maybe join. When I said 'great little site', I really meant little. There aren't nearly enough people there. They need to find ways to advertise! |
