Jason--the nearest place to where I could get sushi from is about 6 hours' car drive away. So yeah, I try not to think about it as well! We made some rolly types with seaweed last year and they turned out ok (smoked salmon, cucumber, egg), but still not the same as having it served. Yum.
Ok, I have now kinda found out the reason why I can't access the chat thread.
Because I tried to read some poetry threads and Firefox crashed on me there too.
Apparently my compy doesn't like it when one post (or many consecutive posts) is as long as possible. Like, there's as much text on one post as can be put there (like the chat transcript) and consequently the page in general is longer than on average. My browser just freezes from the mere sight of this task. Stupid computer.
Also, the front page here still loads for a pretty long time for me. Maybe it's to do with my choice of layout--I should go for a less-graphicy one? We'll see. I don't understand why my computer has been so slow of late.

It doesn't all have fish in it. I've eaten sushi countless times and not once did it contain anything that'd had a pulse  Very true!! Usually when I have sushi it is some sort of veggie roll. There are countless yummy ones that have all sorts of veggies. I particularly like the ones that have avocado. I just LOVE the rice itself. Thats the very best part. I am not a total vegetarian. My Italian side craves seafood, so occasionally I get the kind with fish. Usually cooked shrimp, if anything. I like sushi, with or without any animal *is in the minority?* It's not like it's actually bouncing on top of the pile of rice. ;D Maybe I like it because we have smoked salmon that is pretty similar to sushi-style fish, but it's been treated with salt. My cockateil, Sydney, LOVES the new Kate Bush album. He especially likes the last two tracks. He sings up a storm. This a compliment, you see. He is very picky about music he sings with. Actually, the only Tori I think he likes is the Professional Widow on TOAL. |

I had to go google edamame because I had no idea what it is. And ahha! Aren't they kinda hard? I'm not sure if I've ever had them...
Matze--I don't like most seafood. I think it's because once I was camping near a sea and it was really stormy, and the smell from the sea was disgusting (salty, yuck--I don't like salt). So whenever I smell sea food it reminds me of that day on the beach. I can't eat crab because of this, nor most mussles and things like that.
Shrimp to me are fairly flavorless, but taste is very individual.

Actually, the only Tori I think he likes is the Professional Widow on TOAL. LOL, there are funny garbled sounds at the start that sound a LOT like a bird twittering, so that probably explains it! And there's birdsong on Aerial as well, I seem to recall. |

The insides are firmer than most beans, kinda like a nut in a way. Anyway, they are super yummy. Nattie, though I like seafood (like I said, I grew up with a lot of it in my diet due to my mom's background and living on the coast), I can still understand what you mean. |

Aw Jenni I hope you find good sushi soon, although it sounds doubtful...
Ben that sucks, I hate it when shit messes with your schedule like that. Blah. Just buy the DVDs, though... hehe
And ok, is it weird that I don't eat fish or seafood at all, except in sushi? I guess I just don't like it cooked... come to think of it, I eat raw tuna, too... I guess that explains it. I don't like cooked fish.
Uh... nevermind, mystery solved. You just watched an episode of the "me show," they happen about... umpteen times a day or so.
