it'll be okay... you guys have HOW many world cups??? 5 or so??? not enough! if anything, i want Portugal to win. i don't want no stinky tri-champ edging closer to us in total. |

as well they should have! and France is about the most undeserving team to have made it to the final. it's official! worldcup germany 2006 sucks! then again, it figures.

BOOOOO  well, it would have been nice on my end to see England make it. I don't think Portugal deserved that win. I guess I'm rooting for France now but not sure. makes no difference to me either way so just hoping for an exciting game... |

i'll be rooting for france, as well. after all, the italians kicked us out, so they do not deserve to win.
(i guess they want this to be a revenge for 1990, when we took the world cup in their country... hehe)

i was thinking, technically as one country Germany's never won a single title, considering all the other 3 were won by West Germany... but enough of soccer, what are you people doing with your summer vacations? i'm working on a project with college.. can't give details about it right now, but next time you people come to Rio ("next time"? yea right), you should be thanking me for the touristic improvements in the city.  |

Paulo, I'm still deciding about what to do for Summer. I have about 10 days off, and I'd love to take the shinkansen (bullet train) somewhere, but all of co-workers are telling me that Summer is the worst time to go. Too expensive and too crowded. If I could save enough money, I'd probably fly to Hokkaido, the north island. The temperatures there at this time of year are much milder than stinkingly hot and humid Honshu. And, there are some beautiful lavender gardens and fields of roses and sunflowers. But I'd really like to go with someone.

1. i wanna see a photo.
2. on friday, there was an australian delegation on our ministry. don't know if it ws the ambassador or even someone from the australian government, but there was a huge flag in the protocol yard and a limo with a tiny australian flag attached to it. i thought of you right away.
germany beat portugal 3x1!!! it was a glorious night yesterday. of course it would have been better to reach the final, but this game for #3 is called the "little final" anyway, so it's reason enough to be happy. i just got back from the brandenburg gate where half a million fans were greeting our wonderful team.
south africa, here we come. in 2010 the cup's ours! :-)

hmmm... this game is exciting... or would be if I was into fuuuussball, lol Anyways this summer I was supposed to work on my thesis but I haven't done much except some data collection (7 interviews so far... hopefully some more), I haven't even transcribed more than one. And as for writing anything, dream on... I still have two weeks before it's too late. I'm off to France on 26th of July, gonna go a motorbike tour around France, Switzerland, Germany and home through Denmark and Sweden... and no I won't ride any bike, don't even have a licence for driving a car... but just gonna sit there and enjoy the scenery. We get back around 15th of August and then I'm off to Poland 24th Aug - 4th Sept in a huge AIESEC conference... so no, I don't have any chance to work on my thesis in August. What have I been doing? Well, mostly t-shirt surgeries... and I hate it that I don't have a camera! Yup, no better go to bed, have to get up early tomorrow to go to some lab tests at 8... |

so congrats to Italy!! in the end, i ended up rooting for them... that zidane headbutt was just ridiculous!!
so wish i could say i was doing something exciting this summer. unfortunately, all my funds are being appropriated by the many friends of mine who have all decided to get married!!! argh!!! oh well... at least they'll have open bars!
