And, ahem, I just wanted to say that I spoke with Mr Black T-shirt on Saturday and it was very lovely. I invited him to my house-warming in a couple of weeks. *GULP-AND-A-HALF* Good for you! Have you figured out if he has a girlfriend? It's the same boy you've been talking about, right?

Good for you! Have you figured out if he has a girlfriend? It's the same boy you've been talking about, right? Yep, same guy! So far all I know is that he's not married. I told a couple of my students about him the other day and they're on the case, LOL! They told me it was a really good sign that he shook my hand, as apparently most Japanese guys are really shy about touching at all in the first instance. I know this is a is a generalisation, but I'll be optimistic, ha ha. #34#

hey Helsie, Australia made it to the next round, bring on some more beer! meanwhile, Brazil just scored its 10th consecutive victory in a world cup. we haven't lost a game since 1998 and qualified to the next round having suffered only one goal, the least of all teams (tied with, not coincidentally, latin fellows Argentina, Italy and Paraguay). beat that, everyone else.

And ultimately, Tori fans would eat it up if she burped her songs over a toilet flushing and the rhythmic beats of a car running over a cow. Let them have their cake.

That's not very flattering company! Thrilled that we made it to the next round of course, but it was a very strange game indeed (did you know it now takes THREE yellow cards to be sent off?!). Not a game that I really enjoyed watching, especially as I had a premonition very early on that the change in goalkeeper was courting disaster. Bring on Italy I say! And Brazil v Ghana should be heaps of fun.

3 yellow cards? really??? i had no clue! here in the local championships it's still 2. i think allowing a player to score 3 brutal faults before sending him to get a good spanking is a kick in the balls of Fair Play and shouldn't be allowed at all. also, i'm not particularly fond of this new "let's not mark minor faults in order to allow more game speed" thing the refferees are doing in this worldcup. i think Fifa needs to seriously review their concepts for the next world cup.
meanwhile, i'm thrilled for Australia. even though i hate that man who carved his shoe soles into Ronaldo's leg when they played.

On a completely "whatever" note:
The people who live behind me grow a shitload of chives and the smell is making me want to vomit all over their fucking precious garden.

I don't think I've ever smelled chives. I have a lavender plant in my garden and it smells lovely. You should come to my house.
