this is how my beautiful city looked last night as of 9 pm. downtown: North side: (this is a mall garage, six people were drowned to death) South side: (this is three blocks away from my house) results? 8 dead people 50% of all phone lines in the city are down millions of bucks in day-after cleaning and repairs 16 hours stuck in traffic jams 2 million people left in the dark for at least 5 hours Hellfire got all wet. i love storms. ;D

oh i'm awesome! i do love storms. i feel sorry for the people who suffer with it, of course, but this is how the city turns out to be every year at the end of summer. this usually doesn't happen in january, so it caught a lot of people by surprise. it's gonna get worse - a lot worse - in March. but then we'll be ready for it.

i did! well the ones from downtown, that is. the others were taken from various newspaper sources. last night we had another beautiful little storm but it didn't do much damage around my part of town (upper south side, that is). i was at a friend's place and you would not believe the amount of lightening i saw. too bad i didn't have my camera with me.
