Hello lovelies!!!!
I literally have a couple of minutes to spare, but I reeeeally wanted to come in and say a quick hello. It's been a really busy time for me settling in, but it's all coming together really well. I found a lovely apartment by the sea, and on a clear day I can actually see it! It's so strange for me to be able to hear and see the sea this time around in Japan. Crazyness. But yes, the Pacific is definitely within reach, and I am told there is quite a nice beach only a half-hour drive away.
I have begun observing and team-teaching many classes at the home school, and I have to tell you that the kids are amazing. They remember just about everything you say, so I have to be careful, haha!
When the new school year starts in April, we will start going out to many of the elementary schools in the area. It is a new project that is strongly backed by the mayor of the city which is fantastic. We all have orientation for that in a couple of weeks.
It's still very cold here, so it wasn't hard to get sick, haha. I'm losing my voice a bit because Brighid (my friend and co-worker) and I had quite the karaoke session the other night!!! There are so many new English songs that I have to catch up on - many of them in the Toriforum book of damn good taste.
Today, I'm designing the feature wall with a sakura tree (cherry blossom) tree, and each blossom will have the kindy kids names written on them. I'm excited, lol. My co-ordinator had me decide on what the feature wall should contain this month, so I had to make a good impression! It's looking good so far, yay!
Well, I better go now and keep working. I really hope that each and every one of you is happy and healthy, and having FUN. I miss this place enormously, and as soon as I get my broadband connection, you know where I'm headed! ♥
Lots of love and Pocky chocolate sticks,
Helly/Herry
