Can I get a witness? (or at least a little advice)

I wouldn't make a whole thread for this but it's a time-sensitive issue, so...

Alright, I've been emailing back and forth with this guy on myspace, he seems really nice. We're not flirting or anything, just chatting it up, although it will probably lead to flirting at some point. So anyway, I sent him an email 6 days ago, and he finally got back today with an email to the tune of "Yikes, I don't have time for this, but it's been too long, so I'll write something quick." And then at the end, he says "I'll write again soon."

Now I can be a complete and utter social nimwit at times, so clueless you wouldn't believe it. So that's why I have to ask you guys, people who are a little more comfortable with interpersonal relations, do you think I should email him back or wait for the next email? I don't want to seem too eager, yet I don't want to make him think I'm ignoring him.

Such a stupid question but I'm really that pathetic when it comes to this sort of stuff... so some advice would be greatly appreciated. I may or may not follow it but at the very least it'll give me something to chew on so I can reach my own conclusions. So let me know, please

anyhow, if i were in your situation, i'd definitely write him back. just a short message thanking him for his e-mail, that you're looking forward to hearing from him soon, something like that. he'll definitely like that.

Haha, that storm was pretty weak yeah. We haven't had a good summer for storms in years, this'd better be one. We did have one good storm so far this year but I want one where the sky goes green and the rain comes down in waves.
