OMG, this is so fascinating! You have to see it, it's a shark that researchers thought was extinct, sadly it died shortly after capture: educatedearth.net/video.php?id=2844What do you think? I think the gills are crazy! xo

Freaky deaky.
Sad that she ended up at the surface (I wonder what happened to cause that..) and then died though.

I saw it in the news and its teeth freaked me out because they looked like barnacles! But that is so cool... I think they also said that sometimes these guys are found dead in nets and whatnot, but live ones have not been spotted many times.
Have you noticed how in the recent years A LOT of animals thought to be extinct have been found? Especially in the waters? It's as if the waters are changing somehow that make the fish and other species to come closer to the surface...

^Yeah, deep water scares me for that very reason, too many things still misunderstood and undiscovered about the creatures there. I found it's gills to be really scary, they looked like pink teeth sticking out, it seriously grossed me out! The way it swims really freaked me out. yay for evolution! xo

Sea creatures generally gross me out. I dunno why... other than say, dolphins, whales, the cuter types of fishes and some sharks.. the rest are just yukky looking. lol
Yeah that is creepy how we hear more about deep sea creatures being found in recent years. I saw on Wild Boys, when Steve-O was on tour over here in NZ.. they went to some scientist guy's house and there was a giant squid?! dead of course, but yeah. groooossssss..

I was never into seafood either, other than the most normal fillets of fish possible. Never saw the appeal of stuff like mussels or oysters.. they look like snot!

I think the secret of eating mussles and such is to drown it in butter. As to not taste it.
I used to hate all seafood because I had never had any, and the smell made me gag (smell of sea, that is. I hate salt, too, by the way). But now, squid... yum! Sorry, giant squid!
Aims--I LOVE Wildboyz. I seriously contemplated about buying one of their seasons on DVD. So juvenile, yet fun. And I like it how they are the ones who get mauled or gnawed in the end--so their disclaimer "no animals were harmed" is true! They might agitate an animal, but then they also pay for it, hehe.

lol @ giant squid.
Yeah it's funny eh! Party Boy is probably my favourite out of that whole group of freaks, so those two guys made a good team on this show.
