A train just hit a car about 2 miles from my house. This is so nuts. I drive across that track every day.

That's so awful! A similar thing just happened near my workplace. A big dump truck crossed the line and hit a car head on. I guess it was a pretty horrific scene.

Oh thats scary and sad I heard of a similar thing with a train vs car here recently... well, not sure how long ago the crash happened exactly, but read an article about the sole survivor in the car - a 6 year old girl, both her parents were killed so she's living with her aunty and uncle.. so yeah it was an article about all that. Sad.

Thanks, Jason. I'm nervous about my doctor's appointment tomorrow. I'm fairly certain I have an ulcer. I've thought that for 3 years now, so I figured it was time to get checked out. Bleh.

My ex-stepdad (who I am very close to) lost his entire house this weekend due to flooding. He was out of town when it happened. The basement walls caved in and the rest of the house followed. I can't believe it. I feel so bad for him. I talked to him this morning and he sounded horrible. He and his girlfriend are spending the day trying to find things that are salvageable.
