Oookay. I actually pity Britney... Without all those silly things she has done she could've had easier time and maybe, just maybe people would think better of her. She seemed sweet girl in the beginning but then being celebrity got all mixed up in her head or something and now she's where she's got herself. Of course it's her own fault if she's made bad choices but still I feel bad for her. Of course that's just "if not...", so it may be silly but that's my thoughts.

What I think is funny about that MSN page is that on the left hand navigation bar, there's an *entire* section dedicated to Anna Nicole Smith. My mom had a bit of respect for her, so I think she would smile if she knew Anna died the day after mom did. xo

Here's another Britney article with a pic that looks like she still has some hair in the back. Bizarre. www.eonline.com/news/article/index.jsp?uuid=6551d873-8fde-48e0-bbfb-9a33f6824467You see bottles of nailpolish in the background, which looks like a salon, not a tattoo parlor. She probably dyed her hair so much that she fried it and had to shave it. The press just love to paint the picture of a self-destructive female, though. They did it to Marilyn Monroe, and they do it to the girls today. Anna Nicole is definitely one of the first to spring to mind. I really think that when a man gets a DUI, goes in to rehab or has a public melt-down, there's more of a "boys will be boys" attitude. If a woman does these things, she's nuts, a bad mother or a slut. A trainwreck woman is so facinating that adolescent girls are wanting to emulate them. That's the saddest part. Brittany has problems for sure, the biggest being that I don't think she hows how to be by herself. She's been a celebrity since she was a kid and she's so used to being in the spotlight. Maybe coming apart at the seams on stage is better than being alone to her. But the press has completely enflamed this problem. I hate the press. Especially American press.

I hate the press too. I mean, 60 people were watching Britney get a tattoo from outside. Leave the girl alone for fuck's sakes! xo

Oh wow, I only just found out about this now from this thread.
I'm very much in the feel sorry for her camp. I agree with what Sabrina said about the fame and stuff. It's sad. But she's young... I hope in the next few years she'll gain a bit of wisdom and feel stronger in herself etc.

hmmm... I saw this on Yahoo... I'm not sure why Britney's doing it, but supposedly her family gave her an intervention. I agree that she doesn't know how to be by herself. She's also kind of stopped having a real career in music lately. I'm wondering if she's not just really depressed, I mean she is only human.

I gave a girl at work a Patty mix for her birthday and, after listening to it, she said: "I like it. It's very relaxing. Norah Jones-like." I almost gasped aloud and demanded the C.D back! I guess it's better than having people ask, when they hear Patty playing: "Oh, is that the Dixie Chicks?" Norah at least writes her own songs, right? In other news- Brittany Spears apparently shaved her head bald! Biggest story in America right now. Sad. BAHAHA! I hate it when Patty is compared to ANYONE.

I'm wondering if she's not just really depressed, I mean she is only human. I was scared for her when she had two children so close together. I'm so hormone sensitive, I would have gone off the deep end for sure.

Have you noticed that female artists tend to be compared to other people more than males?? or maybe it's about the same, but I notice it more with women. It's like she has her own voice shut the fuck up.
Actually, come to think of it I hear bands being compared to others all the time.. I guess it's ok if you're just comparing in order to try and explain to someone what this band sounds like, but it sucks when sometimes people are like "oh she sounds just like so-and-so" as if she's being too lazy to sound like herself or anythign.
that made no sense of course.
I'm too lazy to fix my typos and stuff too. I just realised I hadn't signed out hours ago.. I wonder how long it keeps you logged in. Going to leave it and see what happens - I think it keeps you logged in for ages??
So if anyone sees me, then I'm not really here.
I'm going to shut up now.
Bye.

Wow I never thought about that... well I hope she's not having postpartum or anything like that. I may not agree with how she lives her life but she doesn't deserve that.

Ack, it has been WAY too long since I stopped by here!!! I miss you all more than I could ever express. I've gotten caught up in a whole bunch of other stuff online and at work and such. I hope that everyone is doing well. I have a ridiculous amount of catching up to do!!! I probably won't have time to do much right now (I'm at work), but I will hopefully do so over the next couple of days.
Btw, I love the pretty forum theme! Obviously I love the banner. ;-) Nattie, is that one of yours?

I'd rather do anything else now than write this stupid French composition... Boooooooring. But it has to be ready for tomorrow. Having little revision thing in French tomorrow and the teacher threw bunch of papers at me, containing boring exercises. Baaaah.

There's three new ones I think, the Tori pic that you took, the chocolate mint stars layout and the snow can wait (I think that's what it's called). I'm thinking of doing a new layout in ode to the new Tori picture, but we'll see. I'm pretty backed up with the TF website and other Toriforum things I've been doing, but maybe I'll set aside a night just for a new layout for American Doll Posse. xo
