Purple People (Christmas In Space)
well hey do you do judo when they surround you a little mental yoga will they disappear
it's grim but never dubious as motives go no matter what it takes she promises a show
thunder wishes it could be the snow wishes it could be as love as she can be
these gifts are here for her for you for me
I've watched me be this other thing and never know
if I'm marooned or where the purple people go
then Lily White Matricide from vicious words
it doesn't leave a scratch so therefore no one's hurt
and on and on the nurses make it clear just when you escape you have yourself to fear
a restaurant that never has to close breakfast every hour it could save the world
so hey do you do judo in your finery an angel's face is tricky to wear constantly
Here's Tori's description of it:
"So I was uh, we were in Cornwall and we were hangin out, a bunch of us. And um, the great thing is that we always had a saying 'it's 6 o'clock in the world somewhere and that means you can have a drink. You know, when you think its too early to drink, we don't drink that much. That depends on who we are comparing ourselves to. But we have a European way we look at thinks, its not like we never kind of go to work...i can't play the piano if i'm doing anything cause i can't find it for one thing...and then once i'm sitting on the stool i still can't find it..so um. There was a time when we would decide it was 6 o'clock and it was like 9:30 in the morning. And um, one time we were having this moment and my friend Tam was telling me a story about a girl named Besty Brown who used to torture her and come up to her (giggles) ..that's the thing she used to come up to me and go 'Hi I'm Betsy Brown, do you do judo? i do judo!'. And I went into the studio and things kinda happened."

"This is um, actually it ended up on the live disc of the venus album and the this is, we did it at sound check. It didn't make Choirgirl but it ended up being one of our favorites and the band loved it too. So we were just fooling around and um..." (begins playing)
