I think this song is about taking a leap of faith in someone who is closed off to a lot of people and she falls in love with them and he lets her in his circle but he starts fading away ultimately and it really is his issue and not her's. I think the lines like "curled up with machines" and referencing him as a "digital ghost" may mean that he's turning to other things to escape reality, like TV, movies, and whatnot. She loves him unconditionally and wants this person to figure out what is really bothering him because she doesn't want to leave his side.
