Anyone here who knows Sigur Rós? They're an Icelandic band with a unique music i find it difficult to desribe. Maybe the word magical fits.. You should listen to their album "Agaetis Byrjun."

I love Sigur Rós. Island has this unique power of bringing out artists which fit in no category. You´re always sure to get a fresh breeze from the ice - land. What´s your fav song? Mine is Olsen Olsen. The title is very islandic.

The only song by Sigur Rós I have ever heard is "Svefn-G-Englar", which was on the soundtrack to the movie Vanilla Sky. I do like that song, but I haven't heard anything else by them

I first heard about Sigur Ros on VH1, they had a special on new bands or something like that and this guy recommended it. They're awesome. The music is so entrancing and flowing, and I love listening to it and not knowing what he's saying. I love the mystery.
Did you guys know the guitar player plays the guitar with a violin bow? I think that's very cool.

I knew it. I saw a live concert on Tv. It´s astonishing what sounds you can make with instruments. Like playing the saw.

Sigur Rós are fantastic, brilliant, wonderful, amazing and I think the word 'magical' really fits their music. It's like tehy describe the entire Icelandic landscape in their songs. I've seen them live in concert and that was such a magical evening, like I was taken on a long wonderful journey. Every1: GO LISTEN!!

Oh, my goodness! I have just had the pleasure of hearing Sigur Ros for the first time and I'm so in love with this band, it's not even funny. It's so beautiful, I'm speechless.

ok, ok, i'm in a cybercafe, and that's not the better place to hear a band like Sigur Ros... but i did it, and i like them. they remind me the new radiohead (but i've read that radiohead inspired in them). well, here you can see some videos of them. i don't know if u have to registrer, but if it's necesary, do it because there are very interesting things. www.rollingstone.com/videos/playvideo.asp?sid=484955there are 3 videos... check them out.

Just got this album as well. At the Pitt M&G, someone (I think) was giving this album to Tori. Tori mentioned Matt Chamberlain likes this album a lot. Once I listened to it yesterday (for the first time), I noticed the first tune was what played right after the second encores of the first leg shows.
Seems pretty good so far...
