Any other VAST fans in here?
As for me, I simply adore VAST. I was addicted to "Pretty When You Cry" and "Somewhere Else to Be".
Currently I am feeding on "My TV and You".
One of my friends labels it as "dark techno", but I'm not sure it would really fit into that category.
If you haven't heard VAST, you really must try it for yourself. Download one of the above songs, or "Touched" or "Here"...
Anyway, any other fans here?? (maybe not as crazed as myself, hehe) ;D

oh oh! I love VAST!  I haven't listened to them in a while though. I remember when their first CD came out, I was working as asst. manager at Camelot Music and we would play it over the in-store play (even though we weren't supposed to) and I always had to run over and skip over the part during Pretty When You Cry when he sings "I didn't want to fuck you baby" part....so as not to offend any of our customers. hehehe. Wow, that really makes me miss working in a music store...it was a lot of fun. Anyhow...back to VAST...they are great. It would be great to hear something new from them in 2003. |

Yay, it's great to see that there's another VAST fan out there! Hehe, I know what you mean with playing "Pretty When You Cry", when I play it at my parents house I always turn it way down for that part so that they wouldn't flip out. I'm not sure if they'll do anything new, though I really hope that they do. Vast seems to have disappeared recently. Their site, www.realvast.com , switched to a new format over a year ago (or maybe less) but it still is empty... On a side note, I always wanted to work in a music store. Not sure why, but I think I'd enjoy it a lot. |

It's a lot of fun. I did it for a little over 2 years...and I really miss it sometimes. Retail in general has it's low points....but out of all retail work, I think music is the most exciting. It's always changing....never gets dull. I recommend it for sure. |

VAST!
I've been in love with 'touched' since it got released. I was so hooked. I had to stay tuned to my radio just so i could here it again. I didn't want to miss it being played!
But i must admit I haven't heard any of his other stuff... maybe that's something i should look into...

VAST is so cool! Something new would be sooooo welcome but I haven't heard anything in a very long time. BTW Datura, I've always wanted to work in a music store too. Maybe it stems from my adolescent obsession with the movie Empire Records.  |
