Being a musician myself, I find that I'm drawn to female singer/songwriter types. Here are a few you might enjoy...
1. Jonatha Brooke 2. Ani DiFranco 3. Aimee Mann 4. Dar Williams

Hey, that's so weird!!! Jonatha Brooke has actually been mentioned in here before... Does any of you guys know if the song "Nothing Sacred" is a cover or if it's Jonatha's own song?

ick. Paula Cole sucks ass... the girl can't sing! and she has THE NERVE to compare herself to the legendary Beatles? Whatever! The Beatles were REVOLUTIONARY. Paula Cole is just a blurb in the musical time line. Who does she think she is?!

I hate Paula Cole too, I bought This Fire when "Where Have All The Cowboys Gone?" was in style. The CD is horrible and it is in a bag of CD's to be traded in! Plus she has hairy pits, that's sooooooo gross! EEWWWW.

Aimee Mann= GREAT
Deathly is great, Stupid Thing is great, That's Just What You Are is great, Humpty Dumpty is great.... can't pick just one. Anyone who possibly hasn't heard her stuff, highly recommended from my way, yep!

PS sick_ickle_fox :
All of miss Mann's albums are very good, but I recommend maybe perhaps the Bachelor no.2 album next, or Lost in Space which is the newest one, comes with a cool little comic book leaflet too***

I know some of Ani Difranco's albums, and i really like them, but for some reason i don't listen much to her nowadays. But i'd recommend "Imperfectly", her first album "Ani Difranco" and the livealbum "living in clip". I haven't heard her new livealbum "so much shouting, so much laughter" yet, maybe i should check it out! *and both hands, please use both hands, oh, no, don't close your eyes, i'm writing graffity on your body, i'm drawing the story of how hard we tried...*
