Well Christmas is just around the bend and well I have decided to make a Christmas compliation. I know I know it is cheesy but I not putting corny pop renditons of songs from Whitney or Christina lol. I want to get some great, bizarre, fun rendtions of Christmas songs. Here is what I got (so far):: Tori Amos ~ Have Your A Merry Little Christmas Tori Amos ~ Little Drummer Boy Tori Amos ~ Purple People (Christmas In Space) John Lennon ~ Happy Xmas (War Is Over) Eels ~ Christmas Is Going To The Dogs Ben Folds ~ Lonely Christmas Eve Faith Hill ~ Where Are Your Christmas (Cheesy but it was from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas ) No Doubt - Oi To The World Any suggestions I know my list is missing great ones I am sure

The Waitresses - Christmas Wrapping (even better and more bizarre if it's the Spice Girls' version, teehee) Run DMC - Christmas In Harlem (I think that's what it's called) Madonna - Santa Baby ummmm...and anything from "A Charlie Brown Christmas". That is all.

Oh.. thanks for that..
I was just bitching like an hour ago about how much I hate christmas songs, coz they're all cheesy and such, and how Tori's version of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas is the only good xmas song I know...
But I will perhaps download some of those songs on your list and make a lil cd.. Then when my folks insist on listening to crappy xmas music on christmas day I can be all "THIS is christmas music, so bugger off.."

The "Maybe This Christmas" compilations have some good stuff on them from good contemporary artists.
My all-time favorite Christmas album is the one from John Denver and the Muppets- the season hasn't started until I've listened to that.
And my favorite Christmas song would be David Bowie and Bing Crosby's "Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth."
Good stuff.
