Ok, most Radiohead fans know that before they were signed, they went by the name On A Friday (because that was the only day of the week they could get together and practice)....
They had 2 demo tapes (literally tapes; they were only put out on cassette) in 1991:
'On A Friday' demo tape (released in April) Tracklist: 1. What Is That You Say? 2. Stop Whispering [demo version] 3. Give It Up
and
'Manic Hedgehog' demo tape (released in October) 1. I Can't [manic hedgehog version] 2. Nothing Touches Me 3. Thinking About You [manic hedgehog version] 4. Phillipa Chicken 5. You [manic hedgehog version]
I'm wondering if anyone here knows how/where I might get my hands on either of them... or ANY of the tracks from either of them? I'm particularly interested in the Manic Hedgehog demo b/c I'd love to hear the demo-versions of the 3 songs that made it to the Pablo Honey album. I searched at my 'Rhino Records' here in the U.S. which usually has a good (albeit it completely random, at times) selection of imports, old stuff, demo stuff, oop stuff and rare stuff, but no luck. They told me (what I already assumed) that the demo tapes were never 'sold' in stores (at least not in the U.S.) and are very rare, and good luck finding any of the tracks, lol.
I can find sites that list the demo info, but nowhere can I find anything that has any/all of the songs on it. Even mp3s would interest me. I checked ebay, too, for rare Radiohead stuff and searched for anything by On A Friday, but came up with zilcho.
Anyone have knowledge about this?! ;D

Wow, and I thought I was obsessed with Radiohead. I had no clue! LMAO! I like finding out about the baby stages of bands for some reason. Ok, I'll keep checking Radiohead fan sites, too. Nobody seems to know about this....

I knew about this, but I've never been able to find any of the music. It seems like I just read somewhere the other day about some guy having it and I was like but I can't remember where I saw it! ;D I don't think it was someone that was sharing it, so I didn't pay much attention.
