For me, right now, Devendra Banhardt - Long-Haired Child[/b]
I'm not kidding when I say that for a week now, I've had this song in my head. It just won't go away!

Yesterday I had a few things stuck in my head. I saw a big ad for the new Chili Peppers album on a newspaper so for a while the song Stadium Arcadium was in my head..
Then later on Maniac by PJ Harvey.

This part of Rilo Kiley's A Better Son/Daughter:
And sometimes when you're on You're really fucking on And your friends they sing along And they love you But the lows are so extreme That the good seems fucking cheap And it teases you for weeks in its absence But you'll fight and you'll make it through You'll fake it if you have to And you'll show up for work with a smile And you'll be better You'll be smarter More grown up and a better daughter or son And a real good friend And you'll be awake You'll be alert You'll be positive though it hurts And you'll laugh and embrace all of your friends And you'll be a real good listener You'll be honest You'll be brave You'll be handsome and you'll be beautiful You'll be happy

I also had RHCP in my head yesterday, but it was "The Velvet Glove" from "Californiacation" One of my favorite bands. I can't wait to hear the new album.

David Denies by Til Tuesday. her 1980s work makes me realize Aimee Mann has lost a bit of her capacity of writing kickass songs that are not only edgy and acid but also very, very sticky to your head. maybe it was the other band members' imput...

A part of Jack Off Jill's My Cat:
"My cat is amazing, he can play the guitar, he may not be an actor, but he's a pussy superstar."
Good song, I've been more and more into Jack Off Jill lately.

Old swing songs!
Hot ginger and dynamite There's nothing but that at night Back in Nagasaki where the fellers chew tobaccy and the women wicky wacky woo
Those were the days when you could sing that with a straight face! Women wicky wacky woo! I love it!

Old Friends by Sylvie Lewis. it's not even close to one of my favorites on the cd but for some unknown reason, i can't escape it lately!!!
no one can take your place no one fills the space you leave when you're gone if we should lose touch you will not lose my love we'll catch up somewhere down the road down the road, i hope you'll agree we'd make good old friends if it were up to me, that would be my goal friend we'll turn glasses of wine into rooms full of song and we'll be old friends if i'm not wrong we will be old friends before too long
i really like the "we'll turn glasses of wine into rooms full of song" line...
