Oh, this rendition is AMAZING. Tori well and truly nailed it deep into the ground. Especially the "for a minute there I lost myself" part. One of the best covers I've heard this tour. Such control!

I downloaded Karma Police today from hereinmyhead.com .. It is just awesome ! and the "for a minute there i lost myself" part is my favorite too .. I was also so excited to see she covered "Mad world" , i love this song and I didn't know Tori covered it!

Hmm, I don't actually like her Karma Police all that much. Not compared to some of the other covers on this tour. But hey, that's just me.

Which ones have you liked, Trevor? I'm curious to hear what people think. I'm in awe of just about every cover Tori does, but there are a few that make my back tingle. Running To Stand Still from Lottapianos made me weep (in a good way, ahem).

For starters, I thought her Street Spirit was better than her Karma Police.
Dream On was GREAT - I don't even know the original, so maybe that's why! Same with Operator.
Australia got at least 3 good ones - You Shook Me All Night Long, Don't Dream It's Over and Can't Get You Out Of My Head.
Personal Jesus.
Live To Tell, which was a lot better than Like A Prayer.
It's really odd, many concerts I've heard I've liked one piano bar song and not the other. Mostly I've liked the first one - she seems to have gone for more daring, energetic songs first - but not always.

So wait, you don't know Jim Croce's Operator? [when I was a kid, my dad says I would walk around singing " A burrito...". Apparently I thought the song was about some guy who was calling in for Mexican take out food! LOL] *wonders how Jim Croce would sound next to Jem and Beth Gibbons on a cd...*

Thanks to the wonders of Yahoo Launch actually. But I can't say I was familiar with it beforehand. It's possible I was too young and ignorant, or it's possible it was never a hit song over here - we don't get ALL your stuff.

Well, as a New Englander (Aerosmith is from Boston and we are quite proud of that ), I have to insist that you listen to the original of "Dream On", too, if you haven't already. I was lucky enough to catch that one played live by the orignal band (who puts on spectacular concerts, btw) and by Tori. She told a story about how one of the bandmembers watched over Tash during the blackout a few years ago before she launched into that song.
