NO! Jenni, the fact that you're not a fan of Cars And Guitars[/b] means that may no longer speak, I'm sorry [/quote] Actually, I do find the song fun. Tori's description of it just kind of made the song seem a lot more silly than what my interpretation of it was. So I'll stick to my version of it, hehe (sorry, Tori!) *off to put the Beekeeper on. It's sunny here and we are having birthday party preparations, in other words, cleaning a lot and cake-making! The Beekeeper will be a great accompaniment!*

I LOVE "CARS AND GUITARS"! It's a tie between "Cars and Guitars" and "Original Sinsuality" for my favorite BEEKEEPER song, but I loved it from the moment I heard it. My favorite part is when she sings "'cause it never waaaaass the caaaaaaaaaarrrs and guitaaaaarrs that came between us." The melody reminds me of another Tori song that I can't put my finger on.
Here's my interpretation of it:
I think this song is the ongoing adventure to decipher communication and how it can mess up and get twisted and really change your world as you know it if interpretted wrong. In this case, she is wishing to be something that this man enjoys so he can see it in a different light. Instead of person to person, being very complicated and emotional, it's a car or a guitar. 2 very stable objects. Sure, they can have problems like the car could break down or something or the guitar could go out of tune, but there's always a way to find out what's wrong and how to fix it. With human beings, we are very difficult beings to understand and that's the issue.
