This is the one I related to immediately. Especially with her description of it.

The song is quite good. Still I think that Damien's possibilities haven't been exploited to their full potential.

Absolutely beautiful. She and Damien should sing together all the time! Don't make fun of me, but I cried during my first listen of this song.

I would NEVER make fun of your crying because I've cried through MANY parts of this album already. Read the doodle-shmoodle I made in in pinkland about my Damien thoughts for this song, if you haven't already. Hehe. (puff, cough, puff..)

I love the harmony between her and Damien. I love the lyric "Those girls who smile kindly, then rip your life to peices." Definately, one of my favorites on the record.

Tori has a little TPOOK surprise for anyone who gets the dvd. Ohhh, it's nice. ;D Homigosh, I LOVED that part of the DVD. When I heard this song leaked, I was unimpressed. Then I got the DVD, heard that bit.. and absolutely fell in love with the song. I'm hoping on the Original Sinsuality tour, she plays it that way!

A question: I was reading some reviews about this album yesterday, and someone said that wearing orange undies used to be a sort of a superstitious way of making sure of your fertility, or good luck with having babies. Has anyone here heard about that?
Because if that's the case, then the song opens up a whole new layer to me! It's like Playboy Mommy or Spark all over again, with less heart-wrenching agony.
Other than that, I have really liked the song. Before reading that review I only thought of the knickers as being like an item of safety to you, kind of like keeping a rabbit's paw in your pocket for good luck, or something like that: others will see you as a strong person, but only you know that you're taking comfort and strength from something else.

Has anyone here heard about that? I'm not sure but I think I've heard of special colors for undies to make women more fertile.

this one definitely is one of my favourites. it's way too short, though. and i can't get "am i alone in this kiiiiiiss?" out of my head... and jenni - i hadn't heard about that, but it sure is interesting. but what - in this connection, is the "little pill", then?

and jenni - i hadn't heard about that, but it sure is interesting. but what - in this connection, is the "little pill", then? That's a good question! I was wondering about it too... I'm thinking, around FTCGH she said something about how her drug usage (ok, I'm not sure if I remember right) had an effect on her miscarriages. Could the pill then be something illegal? She's saying in the DVD interview that you have to find the terrorist inside of yourself, and basically that you have to negotiate with yourself. Maybe she thinks back and sees her as her own enemy, by the way she behaved? Ok, I'm sure if Tori would read this she would slap her forehead and go "What are these nutjobs overanalyzing this song for! I just wore orange undies!"

well, i'm really not good at interpreting tori lyrics, but the first impression i got was that this "pill" was to signify that method of contraception. which would in a way deny this whole fertility-underpants thing. your explanation makes a lot more sense. but we'll never know unless we ask her. so... *picks up phone to call tori*

Oh, yes, I've definitely heard of the superstitious knickers thing and orange/red being a lucky color. That's what I assumed she meant on the dvd, too, when she explained it. Using the idea for a song is interesting, and I thought it slightly odd (in a Tori way) for her to actually use it as the title of the song. But it definitely is unique and grabs your attention.
My mind goes all kinds of places with the 'little pill in my hand'. I can't decide where it ever ends up.

I can never decode the meaning of these songs and don't always care... 'cause most of the time they are just so good, whatever the meaning behind certain lines is... looove this one... thiiiis kiiiss PS I'm so sad I can't really sing along, cause every time I try to pronounce "TPOOK" it comes out like "the power of orange snickers"... lol! English is so darn difficult!

The Tower of Orange Snickers.... yummmmm! I was thinking of the pill again. I never thought about it as a contraceptive, because then the line "that keeps the pain laughing" doesn't really make any sense. Well, except if you take it and it lessens your PMSing So yeah, I guess another alternative is an anti-depressant, which also makes sense... Tanja: I know what you mean. I don't always know the meaning of Tori's songs, either (or rather, some specific lines are so obscure I just throw my hands in the air when reading them!), and I can still experience the songs very intimately. It's just sometimes fun to play a little Tori-detective
