AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! I just found out who the support act is for the Australian tour. Tyrone Noonan!!!!!!!!!Um, yeah, for those who don't know, he's from the Australian band george, which is responsible for my favourite album of the DECADE. So far, it's only 2005 of course. Yeah I've seen you and Hels mention George before, Trevor - but I've not heard any of their music (well, that I can remember.. probably have, on the radio, but y'know..)
Can you suggest a couple of songs to download? I know it's only one person from the band that's doing support, but it'd be nice to have a bit of background listening beforehand!
P.S. hehe I knew about this before I came here too - saw it on the livejournal tour community. They credited you for the info too - news travels fast!

Woohoo, now I'm FAMOUS as well! Um, let's see. Best known song would probably be "Special Ones", but that's a Katie song not a Tyrone song. Tyrone songs you might find would include: "Breaking it Slowly" "Run" "One" "Beauty of All Things" The official website has teasers of some of their songs. The ones that are Ty's are "Bastard Son", "Breaking it Slowly", "Chemical Dreams", "Rain" and "Run", which are all from the first album. |

I'm so happy for you. And, like I said elsewhere, insanely jealous. Aims, 2 of my favorite "Tyrone" songs from their latest album are "Fortunate Smile" and "Change". If you can find downloads of those, listen to them.  (They are next to each other on the album and I LOVE the way they fade into each other, too). Have a great time, you guys.  |

Eeeeeeeeeeeeee!! That is FANTASTICAL news! Tyrone is a honey I was a foot away from him when they toured last year (at The Forum, Aims!) The band came out afterwards to chat and he was just so friendly and down-to-earth. I fell in LUFF! It's interesting that he's by himself, because he is in a side band called 'Palimpsest', so I wonder what's going on there.... I know that Katie is heavily pregnant right about now, so it's understandable that george couldn't get together for it. Aims, you MUST get a hold of some george stuff. Katie's voice is heavenly, like Jrie said, and Tyrone's voice is very Jeff Buckley-velvety  WOOOOOOOO!  |
