Tori Amos Record Release Party in NYC
Join Tori as she celebrates the release of her new album, American Doll Posse, on May 1 at a secret location in New York City's Times Square area from 7-9pm. The event will include an intimate, 30-minute solo performance by Tori. Starting at 10 AM on Tuesday, May 1st, be one of the first 80 people to purchase Tori's new album at the Barnes & Noble Union Square location only (33 E. 17th Street, NYC), and you will receive a wristband which gets one person into this special event.
NOTE: One wristband per customer.

This is so frustrating! It is ridiculously easy for me to get to Union Square, but what am I going to do, take a personal day to go pick up a cd? Lol.

Well, it wouldn't take long, maybe I'll just have an "appointment" that I have to tend to in the morning?

I'm not sure, but I would assume that it will be short.

I actually have a lot of sick time available, and would feel ridiculous if I didn't try to go. Union Square is just a few stops away on my subway line.

On the other hand, if I take the time off and don't get in, I would feel SO silly for taking the day off. ;D

"Tori Amos (music)' May 1 concert at New York City's Spotlight Live will air live at 8 p.m. ET on Sirius Satellite Radio's The Spectrum Channel (18), according to the satellite-radio provider. Repeat airings are set for May 2 at noon, May 4 at 11 p.m., May 5 at 8 a.m. and May 7 at 12:01 a.m. (all times are Eastern). Following her performance, Amos will also give an exclusive interview to The Spectrum host Demos."

Well, it sounds like it will be broadcast. For any of you that have Siruis, let us know how it goes!

I just read that people are already starting to camp out there NOW. Insane. I enjoy the meet and greets and all, so I wouldn't mind the waiting, but I just have too many other things to do. It sounds like unless you're there overnight, you prolly won't get a wristband.

Yeah, I realized that I kept trying to talk myself out of it, and then figured that there was probably a reason for that.
I found out that there were already at least 50 people there by 3 am. Crazy!

Btw, I'm sure that many of you have read this already, but here are the details if you would like to hear the concert:

Hear a solo concert from Tori Amos tonight, May 1st, at 8pm ET (5pm PT). AND, right after the performance stick around as Tori sits down for an in depth conversation with The Spectrum’s Demos. This will be rebroadcast on Wednesday, May 2nd at Noon ET, Friday, May 4th at 11pm ET, Saturday, May 5th at 8am ET, and Monday, May 7th at 12:01am ET.

Looks like Sirius online lets you do a trial of their service for free for three days. So you can pick up the broadcast even if you don't have Sirius. I may do that.
