A note: Isabel was our doll. Apparently, Isabel = sex, each and every song while she was wearing that costume dripped with sexual energy. I am not complaining.
Yo George
- Not much to say about this one, it is what it is.
Sweet Dreams
- Not my favorite, but it was a good version. Not amazing, not thrilling, but good nonetheless. A nice pick-me-up from the slower, more melodic opener.
In the Springtime of His Voodoo
- First real treat of the show, this song began the trend of long intro jams, and it was a damn good one, jazzy and smoky with Tori twisting and dancing on her bench. Right as she was about to get to the punch I figured it out, turned to Carly and said "SPRINGTIME!" upon which we both freaked the hell out. This version was quite sexy/groovy/funky, which was refreshing coming off of her solo tour for The Beekeeper. I loved seeing her that way, but I loved her this way even more I have to admit. She needs a band.
Devils and Gods
- Another long intro, this one a lot more pretty and subdued yet still a bit funky, I guess Isabel is a funkster at heart. The song itself was underwhelming compared to the intro, although there were a few moments where her voice soared, another theme throughout this concert.
Almost Rosey
- Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Tombigbee
- GRR, ARRGH! TORI SMASH! Such an angry song, and with her voice in such good shape tonight, it went over very well. I loved the way the stage looked during this song, too. This was another one I wasn't expecting.
Scarlet's Walk
- I'll come back to this later... it was too amazing for me to write anything right now. Possibly my favorite song of the show, which was a surprise.
Professional Widow Interlude
- At first, we thought she was really going to play P. Widow, and we screamed. Then, we thought she was really going to play the P. Widow remix, and we went from screaming to laughing so hard our sides hurt. Seriously, the people around us were probably scared from how hard we busted out laughing once we realized it was the remix version. I cannot impress upon you with mere words how hilarious it was. Then, we figured out she was just changing... but it was a wild ride up until that point.
Big Wheel
- It was good, energetic, expected. I can't say much about it, but that doesn't mean I didn't like it - I certainly did. And of course, I was excited to finally see "Tori," red hair and all.

Hey Jupiter (Dakota Version)
Random notes:
- Her voice was
so strong last night, I was in awe. Not only that, but when she wasn't belting something out, her voice would shrink into a sexy whisper, or a raspy croon - I can only describe it as agile, like some kind of wild African animal. Her range, both pitch-wise and emotion-wise, was stunning. I think she was sick or depressed the last time I saw her, and I remember being disappointed at the quality of her singing (more feeling bad for her than anything else); this more than made up for that.
- Isabel's outfit was smokin' hot, but Tori's outfit might have even outdone it. She wore this glittering pantsuit, it was primarily gold but changed colors as the light reflected off of it. The resulting interplay between the song, the lighting choice, and her outfit was pretty sweet if you ask me, for lack of a more sophisticated term.
Ok, I was doing this at work while it was slow, it's picked up now so I'm gonna come back to it later
I have, however, pre-emptively F YES'd the songs I was most excited to hear. (F for F*** because I know some people don't like to read that word)
