I've read it, and I liked it a lot. It's also the one with Tori's introduction--but I'm sure you knew that.
Have fun with it!

Haha I'm sure I did at some point, but I obviously forgot because it seemed news to me when you just mentioned it! Excellent. I got an email from the seller yesterday saying he'd sent it out, so hopefully it'll be there today when I get home!

I finally bought and read Anansi Boys!
And I'm such a dork. I was almost done with it and then K. said: "Oh. The title is Anansi Boys. And the protagonist is with a last name Nancy. Ha ha ha. I'm sure Gaiman thinks he's real clever". I go "Uhhhh YEAH I GOT IT IMMEDIATELLY HAHAHHHAA" *no I did not*
Anyways. I liked the book. It had the kind of Gaimanish horror that somehow fascinates me. It's something about mixing mythology with real life that intrigues me. Sometimes I didn't like the way the characters behaved, but still. It wasn't too big a deal.

Just read this in his journal, it made me lol........... "I don't think that I was really surprised to learn that Anansi Boys had a review over on myspace books. On the other hand, I was quite surprised to learn that Anansi Boys has its own myspace page -- www.myspace.com/anansiboys. It has eighty friends as I write this and is, apparently, twenty years old and a Capricorn."

It's obvious now that I don't come here anymore that often, otherwise I'd never missed this thread for so long... well, well, I guess for me it was the same as for Jay: snow, glass, apples was what caught me, when someone posted this link to Torum: www.holycow.com/dreaming/stories/snow.html(I also liked the humpty dumpty detective story on his website: www.neilgaiman.com/exclusive/shortstories)and then I went to our city library and got the only Gaiman books available at the moment: Stardust and Coraline. I liked Stardust like nothing before, maybe because it was like snow, glass, apples: unpredictable fairytale (Now that we're waiting for the movie I ordered the illustrated Vess-Gaiman version from Amazon, still have to wait at least a week for it to arrive!) Coraline's for a little younger audience in my view but still I liked how it's also unconventional fairy tail. Sandman I'd like to read but all the copies are all the time loaned from the library... Then I was in Stockholm last January and found a real nice fantasy and sci-fi bookstore and bought American Gods (I liked it alright) and Neverwhere (I still haven't read it!)

I'm in the middle of reading "Fragile Things" at the moment. I thought I would find it in Borders in the city, but I ended up finding it in a little Angus & Robertson bookstore at Highpoint shopping centre! Anyway, I started off on Neil by reading "American Gods". Didn't get it at all, but it had some beautiful imagery. Then I bought "Neverwhere" and finally understood what all the fuss was about! I'm trying to read it again now when I'm not reading Fragile Things and "Piece By Piece". Stardust is a beautiful story and I intend to re-read it again when I'm not reading something else.

Yay you for reviving the Neil thread It makes me want to read one of his books! Maybe I'll read some more stories from Fragile Things... haven't read much of it yet. But thats what I like about those short stories, you can read a couple and then put the book away and come back later, between other books.

I was wondering if Anansi Boys is worth spending almost $30 on? I've considered buying it a few times only cause it's 'OMGZ Neil Gaiman!!', but is it good? I'm not sure I want to spend the money if it's hard to get into like "American Gods" (which my dad threw out by the way )

Anansi Boys is definately worth the money! (well, I think so anyway.. ) It's a really good book. A lot easier to read than American Gods.
