I imagine, based on Tori's album name, that the album might feature several different characters. If that's the case I wonder if there will be lots of neato pictures coming out.  I'm so excited! xo |

I voted yes, but I don't mean yes definately... I really have no idea...... haven't thought about it much yet, but it sounds like a possibility. I wouldn't rule something like that out anyway.

hmm, i don't think she'll be impersonating american dolls so much as criticzing the ones that are out there. i think she'll turn a big mirror onto those rather than impersonate them. so i say no.

Hmm, dunno, that's one possibility but I also don't think she would use the same idea again especially when SLG isn't so old album. Or she might develop the idea tho and do something similar...

I hope she does the American Girls like she did SLGs! But I want her to have her own twist on each doll and she will...she's Tori isn't she?

I also voted yes. When I saw the promo pic and the title, I thought of her getting into the skin of others, and when talking about women and America (and dolls), I feel like we're going to hear a lot of in the vein of "Amber Waves". Let's see if she'll have a song about Anna Nicole Smith in there... Now that I think of it--hasn't she had A LOT of "other people" in her albums lately? Scarlet's Walk was all about Scarlet and what happened within Scarlet's world. Even the Beekeeper has many different persons in there and songs from their view points instead of songs about them from Tori's view point. Or that's how I see it. I'd kinda want to know what's going on with Tori herself, even if it meant being less angry than what she used to be. |

I voted no.
But it think it is more because I really would like a 'tori' album. This might sound strange but I would like the album to be about her, instead of different persons (and their view points).
I also think Pepe has a good point, maybe she'll critize these dolls instead of impersonating them.

"It has been said that American Doll Posse will be a more "Rock" album compared to the two previous works, although, it will based on a concept in which Amos embodies five different female musicians, each one with her own sensibility and musical style. The concept will be also displayed in the booklet artwork, similar to "Strange Little Girls".
She also mentioned that she's not sure how accurate this it. But it does looks like Tori will be taking on new characters.

That's interesting, the theory (because let's face it, this is wikipedia we're talking about...) that she's going to take on 5 different musicians.
It seems to make sense from the two song clips that've been released so far - they're so different.
Although, if this is the case, then I REALLY hope there won't be more country-sounding stuff like Big Wheel.. I was kinda hoping that'd be a one off :\
