Some exciting Tori news has emerged this morning (or last night depending where you live?)... Short clips of two new songs have been released  The songs are called Big Wheel and Bouncing Off Clouds. Anyway, the clips are about 2 minutes long. The only place I've seen them available so far is at the yessaid forums (in streaming format on their radio playlist). If you're registered there and are interested in hearing these, then head on over. EDIT:Ok wait.. lol I just saw this at another site... You can now hear long clips from two songs on American Doll Posse, “Big Wheel” and “Bouncing Off Clouds,” at Promo Squad (www.promosquad.com). The site requires you to register and rate other songs before you get to hear them. Have at it! ^ from undented, apparently. So now you have two options  |

Wikipedia says: "It has been said that American Doll Posse will be a more "Rock" album compared to the two previous works, although, it will based on a concept in which Amos embodies five different female musicians, each one with her own sensibility and musical style. The concept will be also displayed in the booklet artwork, similar to "Strange Little Girls". (Mind you I'm not sure how legit that statement is.) Perhaps this explains the MILF reference in Big Wheel. (I quite like that line myself - better than the counting. ) |

Heh, I wasn't going to listen, but I'm sick at home with a rather nasty 'B-type' influenza, and I am so bored. So yes, I clicked and listened. Only once, though.
Based on my one listen, they are both VERY different songs.
Big Wheel is like 'country rock' for me. It's a combination of stuff anyway. I can hear Hoochie Woman, Tombigbee...
Bouncing Off Clouds is a song that really reminds me of something else, but not sure what yet. It has a very 80s feel to it, maybe even a bit of YKTR. It's kind of dancey, too! It seems like she's maybe parodying another song, cos it doesn't have quite the same feel as a Tori song. I don't know if I'm making sense. It could be my fever talking!

Woot... so I haven't gotten a hold of Bouncing off clouds... but Big Wheel... is great... lol MILF??? I never thought I'd hear Tori say that but somehow it works. The song reminds me a tad of Professional Widow cause it's so sexual. Tasha can't see this side of mommy yay!

I've decided not to listen to any more leaks - official or otherwise.
I wanted to be strong but then went ahead and listened to those clips. But I only listened to them once each, and have pretty much forgotten what they sound like now... so yeah. I'm not going to.
If I could hold out last year with Tool, then I can do it with Tori. I'm trying to test my willpower y'know...
