What do you think of the two leaked songs that came out today?
There were two, so make sure to tell us what you thought of both.
Do you think that they sound the way the released picture looks?

Haha I kinda cheated and voted not listening now. Obviously I DID listen, but not from now on...  (and it's ok coz for the life of me I couldn't remember how they went anyway now??) It's very unlike me, but that's the point. |

honestly? not what i expected. they sound too much like Hoochie Woman, i.e. they have that "edge" that Tori was missing but they still sound like sugarwater versions of Boys for Pele. not to say i don't like them, i love Bouncing off Clouds and think Big Wheel is good too (i like the aforementioned one best, of course) but after everything Tori was saying about this album i was expecting the music to sound... harder. not metal hard, just not so comfy in the ears. but since i heard no shred of a harpsichord or wurlitzer in either song, i have high hopes for the rest.

Well, I liked them, like I said in the other thread... They weren't quite what I expected, I waited also something closer to Boys for Pele. Big Wheel made me think of Hoochie Woman too. But that doesn't bother me, Hoochie Woman is a good song, the songs sounded good, and Tori is never what you expect. I also hope rest of the songs have that harpsichord!!!

Okay, I finally listened to the first two leaked songs. I think that I  Bouncing Off Clouds, reminds me of Helen, actually. I'm not sure what to think of Big Wheel yet, it's pretty weird with the country drawl and all that. A bit different. I can't wait to hear the harpsi come out.  xo |

It sounds like the piano has been mixed more to the front, too. Very pretty. It'll be great to hear them all in their entirety soon. |

Big Wheel is so raw. It's one of those songs that are midly cringeworthy, yet you can't completely hate it.
I LOVE LOVE the MILF line. lol

^ I felt the same way about it at first, but after a few listens I am completely hooked.
I definitely like Big Wheel heaps more now that I heard it in full.

Ok nevermind. I've given up on my no leaks thing.
Listened to Teenage Hustling, the full Big Wheel and currently listening to the Secret Spell clip.
I'm over waiting.
Don't really know what I think yet though. It's 2am so maybe that's why I'm not excited. I hope so anyway.
