That damn paper sleeve the cd sits in has SCRATCHED the disc ... I loaded the bloody thing onto itunes and it all seems to be fine until Almost Rosey where it starts to skip and continues on till the end of the cd. Argh! This always happens with cds that are in the stupid paper sleeves. Why do people do this?? It's not difficult to have a cardboard album case etc with a plastic part the disc sits in! Has anyone else has this problem?! Bleh. I don't regret buying the special edition or anything, I'm just totally frustrated and annoyed about it. And no I'm not going to send it back because I got it from amazon and it'll just be a big pain in the arse... besides, it's not their fault the cd is scratched, they don't choose the album packaging after all. Oh well, at least I have the leaked copies of those last 6 songs to tide me over for now. But really. Ok. Sorry. that's the end of my rant.

Sorry to hear this. I was just over the other thread telling how the best thing about the special edition is the paper sleeves... I have had many CDs with jewel cases that got scrathed because the plastic part that holds the cd was broken (during shipping) and the pieces scrathed the thus loose disc... well, I guess you can never please everyone.

Dragon skips on my mp3 player but not when I put it into my CD player ... I think it's because the track numbers are so high ... it did that for Snow Cherries from France so that was my guess (stupid but maybe!!).
However, my CD isn't scratched.

Oh crap, Aims, that's not good!
I've never had a problem with paper sleeves myself, and I was actually thinking that the ADP packaging is an improvement on the packaging for TBK.
It's probably worse with very long CDs because that means the data goes all the way to the edge where there's more chance of damage.

I'm going to get one of those cd cleaning kit things today - you know, with the cloth and stuff... the scratches are only very slight, so I'm thinking they might be fixable. I've had problems with most of my cds that have cardboard cases though, it's annoying. But it's ok.. my ADP Fairy Godfather has hooked me up with the remaining cd-ripped tracks

It sucks though, Aims, but at least you got the songs. I still need to get Dragon for my mp3 player Although I'm still wondering why it would only skip on the burned copy and not when I play it on my CD player.

I noticed that the cd flew out multiple times while I was listening to my ripped mp3 copies and looking at the lyrics and that frustrated me but I don't think the cd is damaged, thank god.

I opened my Collective Soul 2 Disc Collection album and the CD fell right out and slid through the opening and got scratched but still plays fine thankfully.

I hate those double sided cases too. Some of them are nice and sturdy, but TOO many aren't.. it's crazy. (lol saying that, I realised I bought some real shoddy empty double cases for sending burnt cds to friends... but hey at least they didn't pay for it?? hehehe.... oh well)

I've had problems with paper sleeves, too. I don't like them at all.
Those CD cleaning kits do work, though.

My paper sleeves seem really tight. Like, I have to pry the CD out of it. Hope I won't end up scratching the CD.
What I don't like about the packaging is... too many pictures of Tori. I mean, I like it and all, but I wish I had seen more of how Isabel sees the world (as an example), rather than tons of pics of Tori posing in different clothes.
Or well, I guess she's a dress-up doll for us in this CD, so. Guess it works in some way.
Other than that I like the packaging. It looks really classy.
