Melbourne: 10th & 11th September

Ok so I changed this to include both Melbourne dates seeing as Ben's put photos from the 11th meet and greet too - seems like a good idea to combine the two.. especially to me as it was all a bit of a blur anyway.

So firstly: Monday 10th September
The meet and greet was fun. I got to meet up with some girls from another forum that I didn't really know at all but they made me feel so welcome and showed me an awesome time It's all rather cemented my opinion that people from Melbourne rock.


Matt and Jon!! lol... while we were all waiting around, they arrived and everyone was "woohoo..." and they were kinda laughing at us all.


Me doing the nervous babbling thing - "hi I'm Aimee I came from New Zealand to see you!" ... and she's being all lovely going "oh really? I'm glad you came" lol


She signed my Boys For Pele booklet, on the Muhammad My Friend page I think in this pic she's saying "E", as I was telling her how to spell my name?


I was pretty horrified by this pic but it's not as bad once it was cropped.
She let me hug her too hehe

I was totally stoked with that setlist Taxi Ride solo was awesome. And Caught A Lite Sneeze... ooh it was a shame I was sitting alone because I just wanted to grab the person next to me and go "OOH!!! YAY!!" lol
Body And Soul fuckin rocked. (and I even enjoyed Big Wheel )

Alright.... Tuesday 11th September

Went to the venue a couple hours earlier that day, met Ben out there. There weren't many people gathered yet so we were around 10/11-ish in the number system which was cool. It was a bit of a cold miserable wait, with the sprinklings of rain going on and off... but around 4ish she came out and since we didn't have to wait that long (I was number 39 the previous day!) it was good.


Hahahah... oh dear.
Look how cute Tori is I liked her outfit too, took a photo that got it all in but then deleted it later on for some reason.

So anyway, fast forward to the concert.. Ben and I got there early enough to watch the opening act (who I didn't catch the night before). He wasn't bad. Liked him better than the guy who opened last time, blah blah blah etc.

Then after he was done I took the opportunity to duck out to the loo before Tori came on at 9. Heard someone call my name and saw it was the girls who I'd hung out with on Monday. So I was standing talking to them for a while, when Smitty (the bodyguard) walks round the corner and is like "hello Ladies... I have a few front row tickets here if you want them". And we're like "!!!!". Then he hands these three tickets directly to me and two of the others. So I quickly found Ben and gave him my old seat - which ironically turned out to have a better view than my front row seat anyway, but oh well. Turns out we were on the end of the very front row, so the Bosendorfer was pretty much blocking the view of her head 90% of the time. But, lucky for us Tori likes to stand up and wiggle around a lot so it was still really good And those moments when she's standing up really pounding on the keys and getting into it, she had this ridiculously adorable look on her face, like eyes closed with a dreamy grin... hehe.

I felt like such a dick (still do, actually) because I hadn't really heard Siren before so was sitting there going "hmmm?". Yesterday I was saying to Trevor that I must have it on the computer somewhere, but after getting home and checking I've discovered that I haven't!! WTF?! It's great and I must download it asap.

Otherwise, yeah. When she came out as Clyde she was wearing this pink outfit and had that ribbon/sash thingy held up over her eyes. So cool. And her shoes were great! (all I could see of her for most of the concert was her legs... which by the way kick arse - lol)

I'm gonna try to dig up some photos that some lucky sneaky people may have taken (the damn security was soooo aggro about that - one of those guys even stomped on my foot really hard on his way to tell someone off )
