I recently started listening to Polish artist Lee-Leet whose newest (and third) album, “Leave it Behind,” came out in November. You can preview the album here. She plays the piano, produces and publishes her own music. If you enjoy listening to artists like Kate Bush, Evanescence, Within Temptation, PJ Harvey, Bat for Lashes, etc., then you’re gonna like her new record “Leave It Behind”. Lee-Leet is an example of how independent artists can reach out to their audiences through the Internet, thus bypassing record labels. She’s brought to you by her fans from all over the world who financed her current European tour via SellaBand music website. Oh, and by the way, the title song made it to the No. 3 spot on the Polish rock charts at Antyradio in its first week. Check out the video for the title track here. As a result, Lee-Leet was pointed out in a press article, arguing that the era of major record labels is over, and the onset of a new era, in which independent artists reach out to their audience through the Internet, is happening presently. If you’re into artists such as Florence and the Machines, Bjork, Tori Amos, Kate Bush, Evanescence, Within Temptation, PJ Harvey, Bat for Lashes or Porcupine Tree, you will thoroughly enjoy listening to her.
