Yes, I thought of that one too! The band was 'Til Tuesday. Still have heard very little of Aimee Mann, but I wasn't even INTERESTED until I found out it was the same person. Used to LOVE that song. I always thought it said "what's so scary?" Clearly there was a diction problem  LOL, orfeo....my dad LOVED that song in the 80's & thought that's what they were saying, too!! OMG! Aimee Mann's latest cd, Lost in Space, is really good! (i have all her stuff, love her 2nd best to Tori) |

have suddenly thought of Adam Ant.
The only "hit" I can remember was
Good 2 Shoes, lol @ the name. Am I
correct on this? Or am I just in dire

save ferris, another one hit wonder... "come on Eileen" i think was the name of their song... I've always liked Save Ferris, but they seemed to disappear after Ska music went out of style. "The World is New" was also a hit of theirs, but it was not as well known as "Come on Eileen". |

Actually fun lovin criminals had another one - scooby snacks....
And cake has had many - The Distance, I will survive, Rock And Roll Lifestyle, Short Skirt/Long Jacket, to name a few.....

Who's this lot you're saying had a song called Come on Eileen???
The only song I know called Come On Eileen was a huge hit in about 1982/3 for a band called Dexy's Midnight Runners. Very much a 1-h-w.
You don't mean to say some other band stole the song and made it THEIR 1-h-w as well? If it went too-la-roo-lai-ay at any point, it's the same song.

Save Ferris did a ska-style cover of it and it was probably their most well-known song (along with "The World is New"). Actually, at the end of the song there is actually a little sound clip of the original song. |
