YEAH MARY!!!!!I'm excited for ya and I soooo need to e-mail you but it may be a couple days later. I miss you dearie. I hope to be around a bit more. Jenn! OMG!!! I thought of you last night while sitting at my concert! So cool to come here and see you! Yes, we'll have to catch up soon. Thanks for the concert wishes everyone. It's going to be a while before I can post about it. I need to wait until the rage within me simmers down a bit. The audience at the show last night was so UNBELIEVEABLY rude that I was made speechless and red-hot with anger. I spent half of Way Down and ALL of Virginia with another Toriphile (thank you, Alicia) on our mission to hike all around the venue to get the Security freaking Supervisor to throw out the drunk disorderly fondling loud couple directly in front of us. They were disgusting, just so SICKENINGLY EVIL with rudeness. Once warned, they went out of their way to be even worse and make faces at us (everyone in the row behind them) the whole time. Why the hell do people come to concerts to drink, be loud, yell into the cell phones (during Spark, I could have punched him) and be obnoxious? Why? And 2 rows behind us there were two jerky guys talking loudly the whole freaking time about lawnmowers and God only knows what else, despite the fact that they had been repeatedly shushed by all of us around them. I wasn't the only one who had had enough. The poor guy directly behind us finally stood up and yelled just as passionately and fumingly at those 2 rude guys during The Beekeeper. I said 'Amen!' to him for saying something. A lot of us were shaking our heads in complete disbelief. Those are just 2 examples of the rudeness, just the tip of the iceberg. The crowd had way too many drunk jerks who must have thought it would be cool to go down to edge of the water to hang out and watch some chick play her piano and sing while they practiced all their a**hole skills. I can't seriously believe they were Tori fans, in fact I refuse to believe it. I've been to 7 shows now and True Tori fans don't behave that way. All I kept thinking was If Tori was out here in this audience right now she would be ashamed and furious. I have NEVER seen so many loud and obnoxious people in one crowd. Not even at heavy metal concerts. What made it worse was the the venue is very small and intimate and it's on a dirt plateau overlooking the water, for Pete's sake. They literally have to set up folding chairs in front of the stage for seating. Security sucked hard. Even the supervisor I wrangled up was not "getting it" that so many of us fans were having our show completely ruined by the inconsiderate winos. I don't mean the kind of behavior you just simply tune out, I mean an overwhelmingly BAD situation that builds and builds until you start to feel outnumbered by the drunken jerks and you wonder if one of them might pick up their folding chair and hit you over the head with it. AT A TORI CONCERT, of all places! Just unfuckingbelievable. If you check out reviews of the show on the dent you'll see Melissa, for one, agrees with me. Based on how many of us angry sober Toriphiles that were in my section alone, 16 rows back from the stage, I wouldn't be surprised if more reviews mention the the jerks in the audience. Like I said, I should simmer down before I switch gears and attempt to write a review of how wonderful Tori's performance was, Well, what I was able to see and hear of it, anyway. Grrr. Or how, thankfully, Alison seemed to be able to focus on the good parts for her first ever concert of her life (poor thing, she'll probably never want to go to a concert again after all the bad parts - and I hate that I have to say that after she saw TORI of all people. Grrrr!) I should say thanks to Noel, to our left, who was so sweet to Ali, letting Ali use her binoculars to see Tori above the mad and rude crowd for a couple songs. Now THAT sort of kindness is what I'm used to at Tori concerts. Darnit, I guess I should have put this over in the Angry Snatch forum. Finally I have something to AS about!

Thanks for the concern. Our house flooded on the weekend. A contractor came in today to take out the carpets, so the smell is receding. Shaun has caught a nasty flu from the spores though...Oh yeah, and we LIVE in a basement suite. N~ xo Oh no! I read about the flooding, but didn't realize that you were in a basement suite! I hope that Shaun is well soon and that the nasty smell and contaminants are gone ASAP. Take care.

Mary, that is absolutely horrible!! I can't understand why there are people out there that behave that way. I have come across a few rude ones (yes, even at Tori concerts), but fortunately they were not nearly that bad. I was hoping for a wonderful concert for you, especially since Ali was going. I hope that there were some good parts, too.
