LOL, you're nuts, Aimee. hey Carly, what song's that? Oh, it's quite possibly Mr. Cave's worst song. Here are the lyrics: Black HairLast night my kisses were banked in black hair And in my bed, my lover, her hair was midnight black And all her mystery dwelled within her black hair And her black hair framed a happy heart-shaped face And heavy-hooded eyes inside her black hair Shined at me from the depths of her hair of deepest black While my fingers pushed into her straight black hair Pulling her black hair back from her happy heart-shaped face To kiss her milk-white throat, a dark curtain of black hair Smothered me, my lover with her beautiful black hair The smell of it is heavy. it is charged with life On my fingers the smell of her deep black hair Full of all my whispered words, her black hair And wet with tears and good-byes, her hair of deepest black All my tears cried against her milk-white throat Hidden behind the curtain of her beautiful black hair As deep as ink and black, black as the deepest sea The smell of her black hair upon my pillow Where her head and all it’s black hair did rest Today she took a train to the west Today she took a train to the west Today she took a train to the west

I wonder if it was about PJ Harvey West Country Girl is, at least.. (and I hear he was pretty obsessed/depressed about her at the time, but am guessing the entire cd wouldn't have been Polly-obsessed... ? hehe, lets hope not).

wow, he certainly wanted to get across that his girl had hair... and that it was... black? weird.

^^Yep, what Pascy said, Lauren! (he's good like that - he can translate my Japanese-English into French, and then back into English again ) I did indeed hope you got a few holidays Um, on the topic of Mr Cave, did he not write a song about Tori? Something about green eyes? I can't tell the difference between speculation and rumour with this one, but if anyone knows anything about it, I'm curious.

Oh my Helen, that's insane!
Especially for my little head which can't comprehend how it must be to spend Christmas holidays in tank tops and flip-flops (here it was around -20 degrees celcius on Monday and truck loads of snow!)

I realized that immediately when I came back to this page today. And now I learned my lesson about trying to post in forums while sending multiple e-mails, especially with 12 or so windows still open from work. Lol. Anyway, yes, I did have plenty of time for the holidays. That's one of the reasons why I love my job. My boss has been letting me out early for the last couple of weeks because all of the students are on vacation and his boss gave me three paid days off before this past weekend, plus we all had this past Monday off and have next Monday off!!

Aimee, they pushed the Mirrrormask DVD back a month and a week (february 7 now) I sad NOOO!! I couldn't drag anyone to the theater with me in time to catch it around here, so I am relying on that dvd (and bugging my parents to let me bring it to their place to watch it -- the visuals would totally be lost on my tiny little set).

Aww Lau that sucks! You'll see it soon, though. And yeah, definitely watch it on a nice big TV, hopefully with a good sound system. The visuals are definitely the highlight of the whole thing (a bit disappointing, since I'd expect a more intense story from Neil, but who cares when the eye candy's so good!)

I could have done 60 hour weeks over that period if I wanted due to all the overtime on demand. work is such fun. yay!

OH YUKKY!! You poor thing. I draw the line at 30 degrees, let alone 42. (do you still have your paddling pool?? hehe) bahaha! Dodes said it's got a hole in it! Is there such thing as darning a paddling pool?! Paulsie, I'm going ok at the moment - I've got my big sumo wrestler noren (curtain) hanging up protecting me from the blazing sun. My bedroom gets the afternoon sun which is pretty bloody steamy by then. Jenni, I couldn't possibly imagine anything below -5 degrees celsius!!! You poor thing - do you ever get used to those kinds of temperatures?
