I know you're talking to me though, and what you're talking about, so who cares! hehe... Yeah I'll check those songs out tonight! I decided to be a lazy arse and not go grocery shopping tonight. Feel gross. So will have more time to waste on the computer tonight.

Grocery shopping is weird. I always dread going, but once I get there, I enjoy it. As long as I have a list, though. If I don't, I walk around in circles.

the trick for grocery shopping is always eating before you do it. this way you avoid buying stupid crap just because you're hungry.

^ Good point, Paulo. Good point Matty, too. I always make the mistake of not eating first. I had a terrible day today. But then again, almost all of my days are terrible these days. xo

hey sabsy, did you listen to the aimee songs? how did you like them? I liked them, and went to my local music store to buy the album, but they didn't have it! I'll keep checking, though. I don't have the problem of buying crap at the grocery store, I just get overwhelmed with all the stuff, and the people. Wal-Mart positively kills me, which is one of the reasons I hardly ever go. It's sensory overload!

Yeah I don't have a problem buying useless crap either. Although usually my impulse buys will be something like a head of broccoli that I then never get round to using?? lol .. it's always healthy stuff, it's strange.

Ack, it's so gross and warm in my room right now. I came home early today so am not used to being here at this time of day. Might have to bring the big electric fan back into my room this weekend. For now I'm making use of the cute little fan my uncle's girlfriend bought me back from their trip to Japan. I fanned the cat for a while but he didn't seem to like it - freaked out and ran away lol

It was awesome. There was a little alter set up in the middle of the room with oranges, evergreen, candles and little ornaments. It was SO pretty. Came home tonight to find two messages from my grandmother on my machine. They were almost identical because her mind is really failing and she can't remember things very well. Even though we've had several conversations recently, during which I've told her I'll be there on Christmas, she forgets and seems to get afraid that she'll be alone. So, I called her back and, after assuring her I would be there, and some other family, too, I had her get out a piece of paper and write "Sabrina, Alex, Nicole, Dave and Tom will be with me for Christmas." Then I told her to put the paper in a place where she'll see it often, so she'll never think that she'll be alone. Anyway, it made me feel all warm and fuzzy.

^ Oh, honey! That post made me feel all happy in my heart. I understand how hard it is to try to communicate with someone who's memory comes and goes. As you know my mom has been like that recently. I'm happy to read about your kindness and your compassion with your Grandmother. xo

I'm happy to read about your kindness and your compassion with your Grandmother. xo I often think of your situation with your mom when I am dealing with my grandmother. Glad the story cheered you. Don't get me wrong, I feel stabs of inpatience toward her at times, but I try to put myself in her shoes and think about what it might be like to be old and living alone with my memory failing. It must be scary and confusing. I just think people need to be treated with as much love and compassion as possible, especially in their last days. God, I'm sappy today. ;D
