Don't get me wrong, I feel stabs of inpatience toward her at times, but I try to put myself in her shoes and think about what it might be like to be old and living alone with my memory failing. It must be scary and confusing. Yeah, sometimes I snap at my mom too. It's a natural reaction I guess. I try to stay as kind as possible, but it gets hard sometimes, and that's when I get angry. But I make it through. xo

random thought of the day... i was walking around in Amsterdam yesterday and there was this huge government building with a writing in latin on it that said Homo Sapiens non urinat in ventum, which means roughly 'homo sapiens don't pee in the wind'. i snapped and couldn't stop laughing for a good 5 minutes. that was the bestest, coolest thing i ever saw written on a public building.

Was it an actual part of the building, or was it just a sign someone had put up in recent times? Be so cool if it was some kind of slogan that'd been up there for generations or something.

I fucking hate it when I take the time to dye my hair and it looks almost exactly the same as before I dyed it.

Hello, lovely peoples #af0b1cfa#
Long time no see! Just popping my head in to say hi, and Seasons Greetings to y'all. Hope you guys are well!
I'm back in Aussie at the moment holidaying, and taking some much needed rest after a very hectic year in Nippon.
Tomorrow I go out with Jodi to see Modest Mouse! I haven't heard any of their new material yet, so it should be fun. Yay for music concerts, and um, my first one for 2006, haha!
Thinking of you #bzz#

Carly, what color did you dye it now? i tried dying my red one time but it didn't stick. i would've had to have it bleached first and i thought... meh, why bother. too much trouble. so i shaved it! maybe you should try that?

Ben, well hopefully it all stays hush hush, whatever it is that happened. Welcome back Helen! We've missed your loveliness around here! I'm glad you enjoy the layout. Did you see the Chocolate Mint Stars layout? Caz, what colour did you dye it? What colour is your natural hair?

I dyed it dark neutral blonde. But it just looks brown. Which is my natural color (but my natural color is a bit darker than this). Anyway, it was reddish-brown before I dyed it.

Oooh! Cranberry! Are you going to dye it red any time soon? I've been thinking about why I dye my hair. I guess it's nice to feel like I have some kind of life force, even if it is in my hair! xo
