Oooh! Cranberry! Are you going to dye it red any time soon? I've been thinking about why I dye my hair. I guess it's nice to feel like I have some kind of life force, even if it is in my hair! xo I don't think I'm going to dye it any time soon just because I don't want to damage it any more than it already is. I dye my hair when I feel like altering something in myself. I usually have this desire to get a tattoo or piercing, but I dye my hair instead because it's far less permanent. I call them my "L'oreal baptisms."

Can't have been 82 people online at once though? lol I'd be surprised if we even acheived that in the busy days of old..
Nothing new in my world today, Nattie. I've spent the last hour or so on that Library Thing site! I think some of my tags are a bit weird but oh well.
You're obviously off doing something more interesting now because you've logged out! hehe.

^Nope, I'm at work so I'm here a lot, but logged out when I'm doing something else other than posting. My job is pretty boring. I work here: www.bongsandsuch.com not at the website though. Well, I do maintain the website (even though the layout is god-awful), but I don't live in the interweb. Yeah, there were 82 people online at once in November, look on the main page at the bottom. It's totally messed up! I could'nt believe it either! xo

Carly- I find that the blonde colors always come out darker than what they describe on the box. I read you should always go a shade lighter than what you think it should be. I used to dye my hair REALLY light blonde as a teenager, but now I always use semi-permanent color on my hair. It's less damaging. My hair is so dry, I can't afford to damage it. The blonde semi-permanent colors don't add anything but shine to your hair, but the red and browns work. The red is subtle, which works for me. Makes me want to do it again! The problem is, the red stain never fades completely and turns brassy. I hate that.

Carly- I find that the blonde colors always come out darker than what they describe on the box. I read you should always go a shade lighter than what you think it should be. Omg this stupid bitch at the chemist told me the same thing once, about red dye! So I was like "I want to get a bit of reddishness, but not full on red or anything..." and she's all "your hair is really dark, you'll need something lighter than that..." So I put my trust in her, thinking she's the professional here... WHATEVER. It turned out SO red. And I had to go out that night. Took major pep talks from my sister and friend to convince me to go out. Shame #33# (that was the last time I ever went near any shade of red)

I think I remember that experiance, Aimee!
I had a similar experiance when I tried to highlight my hair. I ended up with big almost WHITE streaks on my head! I was mortified. So, I put on a hat and went to the store to buy dye to color my whole head. It was summer, so I imagine my plight was rather evident to the cashier!
