Paulo, where is that photo from? Meanwhile I am making obsessive Helen Mirren icon/sig's. I'm SUCH a dork. it's from the new Indiana Jones movie. first villain in her career and they made her look like a Star Trek prop. geez.

^I don't know, I like her haircut. I could never pull it off in a million years, so I'm sort of in awe of any woman who can.

Hey Sabrina, I was reading this book about sensitive people today, and this guy was talking about flower essences, made me think about you. Mostly different colors of Yarrow but some other stuff too. I think I'm going to look some up and try them, they're supposed to be good for "balancing your sensitivity" which sounds just peachy keen. Yeah, I don't know about that stuff. They need to do more studies. You and I could both volunteer to participate in the tests, maybe? I can't try the remedies because they're preserved in alcohol. If they start using glycerin, I would definitely try it. But I know people who swear by it. They offer workshops around here on it, and at one time I thought about going. Maybe someday. I'm super excited you're reading about it, though. You should post how it goes in the bach essences thread. It's a really interesting subject. Now you're making me pull out my book on it again!

I aaaaalmost achieved something pretty big (for me). I got a phone call for a interview for a job I applied for. the only problem is I'm gonna be in New Zealand when they want me to do the interview. aaaaarrrrrrrr!!! it would be my dream job too. park ranger at lake eildon national park. I tried to reschedule my flights but its not happening. Its not really anyones fault and theres nothing I can do about it so I'm not beating myself up for it. This would be the first sign that uni's actually got me somewhere and due to bad timing I've got to miss out. Even still there where 6 people to be interviewed so theres surely no guarantee I was going to get the job. It still would have been nice to try.

^ oh that sucks. It's a shame they couldn't be understanding about your circumstances and let you do an interview when you get back or before you left.
One good sign is that you were called for an interview - means you're viewed as a good candidate which should help you for future applications.

I could never pull it off in a million years, so I'm sort of in awe of any woman who can. haha, that's just it, i don't think she pulls it off. first time in history of all the different haircuts, props, accents, hair colors and whatnots that she's tried for her films that i think looks fake. shame. maybe when it's not photoshopped to death it'll look rather normal.

I know thats rubbish hopefully you could get an interview though when you get back cause they might not find who they want for the job out of the other guys.

Thanks. Yeah, I love snow. In December it snowed more here than it did the entire winter before. It was really piling up and so pretty, but January has been another story. It's been warm and rainy, and the snow is melting and turning muddy. My birthday is coming up, and I hope we get some snow before then to clean everything up. Enjoy your new camera! I'd love to see any pics you take.

sorry I haven’t replied, I've just been on a little beach trip for a couple of days so I couldn’t.
I asked for the interview to be re-scheduled, but apparently there’s only one time it can happen. the thing is I applied through a job agency, they liked my resume so they gave it to parks victoria, who also liked it. so they told the job agency to call me for an interview, because for some stupid reason they don’t want to deal with people directly. I just wish I could speak to the park rangers in charge of the park rather than a middle man who's got nothing to do with it.

Yeah, that's the annoying thing about agencies, it usually all goes through them - even after the interview, if the employer wants to offer you the job it'll be the agency that calls to let you know (this is what always happened with me back in the day anyway). I hope the next interview you get is at an equal or better type of place. I still say it's a good look that they were impressed with your cv

yeah, for sure. I was surprised I got a call at all! my damn resume's been reconstructed so many times, and even after I submitted it I realized theres a whole lotta shit I wanted to add and change. oh well, it must have been bearable for them if nothing more.

Oh yeah, a well tweaked resume can do wonders Well, our weekend mission of finding me a car was successful ;D I'm going tomorrow night to pay for it and sort out all the ownership stuffs. It's a cute little red thing.. got some stupid decals stuck on the sides but they should come off easily enough. Otherwise it's all very tidy and well looked after. And has a good little stereo. And cost me a wee bit less than I was expecting. Joy.

Thanks Now I just have to pass the stupid drivers test next month so I can finally drive around by myself... haha. My instructor took me through all the stuff I'll be tested on, and said I would've failed with my accidental speeding... of all the things I never thought I'd end up failing on that. Oh well, plenty of time to practice.
