speaking of Cate Blanchett - yea, i know we weren't anymore, but hell, is there ever a reason, any reason at all not to bring the subject back to her? - she just upstaged Amy Ryan and won the award for Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes for her portrayal of Bob Dylan. fucking amazing!!! i'm so happy for her i have to go scream into a pillow.

i hate johnny depp. other than films in which he plays an out-there character like POTC or hiis Tim Burton films, he's never been much of a good actor. very flat. no wonder he sticks to that kind of role, mostly.

Cat Power gig in Auckland, 4th of March - BOOHOO!!! that's too soon! See, the venue is in a tricky far away kinda place and it'll cost me too much to get home by cab, and I'm still too much of a scaredy to wanna drive in there by myself. *sigh*
So much for me going "ooh I hope she comes back I'll be able to go this time".. WHY can't she be coming in April/May or something? aslkjfd. curses on myself.

oh, and remember that friend of mine from New Zealand which i told you i couldn't understand a word she was saying? well, i asked her where she's from and she said a town called KawaKawa, Bay of Islands, 3 and a half hours driving up the coast from Auckland.

she says, however, that she studied in Dunedin at the university of Otago and that's where she thinks her English went downhill, lol. does this ring any bells to you?
