Cuz it's way too long and it screws with the original concept of the album. As it was conceived, 'Hounds Of Love' is meant to be heard as a double-album, the pop a side and the conceptual b-side. With the addition of bonus tracks and remixes and all that, the b-side gets kinda lost. "The Morning Fog" is meant to close the album, not be in the middle of it. I like the extra material, I just don't like it in that record.

Yeah, I hear you. If not for that 'extra stuff' on the album, it would take collecting a lot of singles (got some) to get all the extra goodies. But on the other hand: You make a great point about the contrasting pop/conceptual sides (when 'albums' used to have 'two sides'). That really was a GREAT album!!  |

I love kate bush. when I was a kid my mum would sit me in front of the tv to watch kate bush videos rather than cartoons.

A KATE BUSH tread and I haven't realised it yet, I'm a naughty lazy girl!!, but now I'm right here.
I love her!!! And I never thought she sounds like Tori or the other way around. Even their songwriting is very different, I think. And hell yes, she should come up with a new album...NOW!!!

She's been working on it since 99, but it seems like she's closer to releasing it than ever before. Apparently it's gonna come out late this year or early next year. 10 long years overdue!!!
By the way Axel, did you get The Kick Inside already?

Heheh Lollipopgestapo, somebody told you they thought of Kate as a Tori-copy? Wow, she must've had a time machine then, as her first album came out around 1978 if I remember correctly, and most of her albums were out before Tori's first. Damn those time warps, they let you get away with anything.

[glow=purple,2,300]i have a friend who doesnt stop laughing at me tellin me i love a carbon copy artist... he says tori's a copy of kate bush n i just cant stand it! he made me listen to some of kate bush's cds and watch her videos which i didnt like at all... well, kate's, let's say, from another time, not meaning she's not good or anything, but i found some of her music quite oldfashioned... maybe there r some kinda "little screams" that tori does that can make u think of kate, but c'mon! grrrrrrrrrrrrr i get so angry sometimes with all this...  i'll have to go n yell at the angry snatch area [/glow] |
